What was happening off screen.
During this movie period Marylyn Monroe was involved with Colombo Capo John “Sonny” Franzese. Sonny was one of the toughest and most feared men ever to walk the streets of NY. He was also a man who never smoked or drank but better spent his time in sexual relationships with the world’s most beautiful women. Sonny was a handsome dapper dynamo. He was the oldest Federal prisoner in the history of the U.S. Penal System. John was released at 102 years of age. Sonny broke the system, a system that was never able to break Mr. John “Sonny” Franzese.
