Description: Interview with Anthony (Tony) Faslow and David Green of the Lake Union Drydock Company conducted by Marsha King on January 15, 2009. Union lead painter Tony Faslow began at the Lake Union Drydock in October 1988 and electrical foreman David Green started at the company in February 1979. In this first part of the interview, they discuss their backgrounds, how they came to work for the company, the growth of the company and the workforce. Both men are Black, and they briefly talk about the multiracial workforce when they started at the company.
In partnership with the Washington Software Alliance (WSA) and the Office of the Superintendent of Public Instruction (OSPI), Museum of History & Industry's (MOHAI) gathered these oral histories in July and August of 2002 as part of the Information Technology Oral History Initiative.
