Dating to November of 1944, this Army Air Force Weekly News Digest includes several segments. First, American forces on Saipan work to salvage enemy weapons and material for recycling and re-use. The bombing of an important oil storage and refining facility in Ceram, Beola by A-20 Havocs is shown, as well as bombings of the Burma Railway (home of the the famed Bridge Over the River Kwai --!). The 10th Air Force is shown making leaflet drops over enemy territory to explain what the United States is doing as part of psychological warfare. Also shown, raids on the city of Cologne, Germany, and rail yards in Holland. Interdiction raids in German occupied France were extremely successful and the strategy used after D-Day is shown, including raids on Rouen, Cinq Mars and Tours. Finally the film shows fighter combat against the Luftwaffe including a great deal of gun camera footage.
