It features a great deal of footage of the ill-fated German advance into central Russia in 1942, and the Red Army during its Winter offensive in 1943. Activities by partisans are shown at the 2:30 mark, and some of their work sabotaging rail lines and burning German supply dumps is shown. At 3:20, Soviet factories are shown churning out tanks and aircraft. Russian general staff are seen at the 4:00 mark. Artemivsk, Ukraine is seen being liberated at the 5:20 mark in May of 1943. Soviet tanks pour into Stalingrad at 5:30, relieving pressure on the embattled city. The battle for Kiev is seen at the 8 minute mark. Minsk was re-taken by the Soviet troops on 3 July 1944 during the Operation Bagration. Smashed cities are seen at the 10 minute mark.
