DerpBox

This account is dedicated to archiving certain creators on Twitch. The streams are are auto-archived (recorded, transcoded, then uploaded, unless something breaks) using a custom script I made. The conversion actually reduces unnecessary bandwidth/extra file size and allows for the stream to be played back in the original quality directly from the Internet Archive without any quality loss or buffering, all while using less storage. This conversion process can take a long time, which means sometimes once a stream ends, it can take anywhere from 1-24 hours until it is uploaded. Currently conversion on average takes around 2x the duration of the stream, so if a stream is 1 hour long, the conversion will take around 2 hours.

Streamers may be removed from the active archival list at any time. If it doesn't seem necessary to archive them anymore or a request has been received by them to stop archiving or something else, may result in removal of specific streams, stopping future archiving of the creator, or all of the above.
