Sharp Shooter is an Artillery clone for MS-DOS, with some interesting quirks like the tanks being able to move around, and a tower shooting the tanks every now and then (but it can't be shot). The game could be found in the "Club della Rana" disks by Ultimobyte, bundled with Amstrad IBM-compatible PCs for the italian market. Authors Mark Dostie and Bill Middlebrook released the game for free, but charged 10 dollars for the source code.

Visual Player is a graphic MOD player. While the music is playing, Visual Player can display the waveform of the four voices of the MOD, the final waveform, four real volume bars, a realtime spectrum analyzer and psychedelic lights. This program has been made to "look" at the music while you listen to it. Everything in Visual Player is real, everything that is displayed is calculated from the digital data and not from the score.

Very simple ASCII-based skiing game, published by Italian software company Ultimobyte for the "Club della Rana" collection, to be bundled with Amstrad IBM PC Compatibles. Fun fact: while the filename is "tretre", after the famous competition skiing track in Madonna di Campiglio (TN), the title reported in game is "Skiing". In fact, this is a translation from "SKIING" made by Rick Dean. The text has been changed by Ultimobyte in the executable and the...

A romance-themed adventure game made by Italian developers Colors Multimedia to be distributed with the videogaming magazine "K". The protagonist has to win the heart of the titular Sylvia, who is based on a virtual girl who was answering the magazine's mail. This game is extremely buggy and crashes are very frequent. It is recommended to save often, altough saving is an undocumented feature. To access the save/load menu the key combination is Alt-]. A screenshot playthrough (in...

A very rare italian translation of 1992 RPG Legends of Valour, by US Gold. Touted as the Ultima Underworld killer, LOV had a mediocre reception due to the lousy plot and the obsolete graphics (compared to UU). Its open-ended nature, however, was unseen until then, and it was used as an inspiration for the successful "The Elder Scrolls" series, whose first episode would come out two years later.

Negromante a very simple strategic game by Italian software publisher Ultimobyte. This was distributed as part of a collection bundled with Amstrad PC IBM compatibles, called "Club della Rana". "Club della Rana" (Club of the Frog) was the name of a shareware mail-order subscription service which was distributing software from the PC-SIG library, together with some original creation by the Italian publisher itself. The game is an ASCII-based strategy game based on a 10x14...
