This is absolutely *NOT* the utzoo usenet archive with articles from 1981 to 1991. I certainly didn't unpack them all and create a squishfs filesystem based on that. Various IOS images I had lying around for the Cisco 7200. Over the years I'd collected these from Cisco as I had professionally deployed several dozen 7200's. At this point I do own a few, and these older IOS images are impossible to find as nobody seems to preserve and collect older IOS. I'm pretty sure that IOS 12.0 was the first version for the 7200 and the NPE-100 which is all MIPS based. Some of these images c7200p I believe are for the PowerPC G4 NPE-2G cpu cad. From the older image:...

This is the long-promised Christmas present to all those good little girls and boys who love GNU/Linux. It was November of 1993 when I received my first CD of what was advertised as "A complete Unix system with source code for 99 USD". While I was dubious about this claim (since the USL vs BSDi lawsuit was in full swing) I said "What the heck" and sent away my 99 dollars, just to receive a thin booklet and a CD-ROM in the mail. Since I did not have an Intel...

This is the much vaunted titor-special Ok, so I'm feeling a little paranoid. Things are not going so well in the USofA.. Hell we may as well call it the AFE now, I mean, who are we kidding? I've enclosed here all the UNIX source code I have come across. As you may know in 2038 all UNIX systems will cease to function. The problem is quite simple to fix, as the date is stored as a signed 32bit integer.. The integer represents the number of seconds since Jan 1 1969. It's trivial to...

A wealth of information that is most likely all destroyed, only interesting for legacy networking people, and Dynamips enthusiasts.

This is a pre-installed net minimal Debian 5 Dec Alpha image. I'm using Qemu from 2014 as that is what I used when I wrote about this 7 years ago, and I don't feel like fighting drift. The pal/bios thing cannot read the disk, so it cannot read the installed vmlinux/initrd so you have to extract those. In the qemu-2.2.50-DecAlphaDebian.7z archive I've already taken care of that so just extract and run the command file and you'll be in Linux in no time. Sometimes the Qemu just sits at a...

From phoboslab: Reverse Engineering WipEout (PSX) In 1995 one of my all time favorite video games was released: the original WipEout for PlayStation. The brand new PlayStation produced 3D graphics previously unseen on living room TVs and WipEout exploited its capabilities like no other game at the time. It was one of the pioneering titles of the fifth generation console era. WipEout's art style was distinctively different from other games too. With the help of the UK based design studio The...

Scoop is a web application designed to make it easy to run your own weblog. A weblog, defined loosely, is a website that posts news, or articles, or even just a personal diary-type thing, and is updated on a fairly regular basis. Many weblogs seek to provide a kind of online community, and allow readers to post comments of their own, and participate in the site in other ways. Scoop attempts to make it pretty easy to run a site that does these things. This is every version I could find.

By installing File and Print Services for NetWare on a Windows 2000 Server computer, you can enable users of NetWare client computers to access volumes and printers shared on the Windows 2000 Server computer. This is the command line Visual C++ compiler from the Visual Studio 2003 package. This was made strictly to compete with MinGW/GCC. The installer doesn't work in later versions of Windows, but 7zip can unpack it. You can setup your path, libpath, include paths manually, and even add in a platfrom SDK to compile full Windows applications. This was superseded by the 'Express' versions of Visual Studio 2005 and onward

Visual C++ 4.0 for the NT RISC platforms (Dec Alpha, MIPS & PowerPC). This is the last version of Visual C++ that supports NT for the MIPS & PowerPC. These are NATIVE versions of Visual C++, meaning you will need a RISC machine running Windows NT 3.51 or 4.0 . Qemu is capable of running Windows NT 4.0 for the MIPS, so it's your only option via emulation currently.
