This collection of files contain the Windows 386 drivers for the Tseng ET4K and Trident TVGA 8900D SVGA video adapters. The V1DSK and V1DSK2.ZIP files were originally downloaded from: http://cd.textfiles.com/carousel/030A/ where they can still be obtained. These downloads contains Win386 drivers for various video boards, including the Tseng drivers shown. Now one has to jump through hassles as the installer programs actually modifies the Win386 setup disk. As such, I have provided a HD image...

Here is the installation program for the Packard Bell OEM version of Voyetra Audiostation for Windows 3.1. The files were pulled from an image of an Packard Bell recovery disk. While it was meant for soundcards that typically shipped on Packard Bell 486/Pentium PC's, it has (in my experience) no problems with using the Creative Labs SoundBlaster 16 on PCEM.

I downloaded this archive somewhere off the Internet many moons ago. I don't remember where I got it from though, so credit to the original uploader who archived it years ago. I'm reuploading the recovery disk here. This archive contains floppy disk images used to recover a Toshiba Satellite 200CDS Notebook. These disk will work on a PCEM/86Box (and probably DOSBox as well) as well. The original archive contained the IMG formats in a format that couldn't be loaded onto any emulator, but...

Man, I thought that the contents of this were lost forever due to a hard-drive crash. However, I did already have the contents preserved on another backup, so here it is. So what is Unrealty? Unrealty was a virtual environment that made use of the Unreal Engine. Developed by Perilith Industrielle, the software allowed real-world locations to be rendered using the Unreal Engine so that one could either explore the location, visualize building plans, or build interactive 3D tours. The maps,...

Here is a custom 720KB floppy disk image containing the WYSE-700 display drivers for Windows 3.0. I've made this disk so that anyone who wants to use the emulated WYSE-700 with Windows 3.0 in either PCEM and 86Bix can conveniently use the drivers without copying the files to their host file-system first. For those who want the original zip files where the drivers came from, it's the WYSE700.ZIP which is located here: http://files.mpoli.fi/unpacked/hardware/display/wyse/wyse700.zip/ When...

MOD4WIN is a music player for Windows 3.1 that can play MOD files on the PC using any compatible soundcard. MOD4WIN is SB16 compatible. MOD, or modular files, are instrumental files that are mostly associated with the Commodore Amiga. On one hand, MOD files share a lot in common in MIDI, except that they can incorporate far more instrumental samples, and unlike MIDI, MOD files can incorporate sound samples as well. MOD4WIN works on DOSBox, PCEM, and 86Box as well (along with real hardware!).

This MIDI player is based on the MCI sample code that Microsoft included with Visual BASIC 3. Many modifications were made from the base code, mainly in the user-interface department. The purpose of this exercise was to make a MIDI player that could run specifically on Windows with Multimedia extensions (essentially, Windows 3.0 with multimedia support). As such, I'm using the most basic of components that Microsoft included in the MCI example. The only two VBX extensions that I'm using is the...

Using the SoundBlaster drivers for MS-DOS, I now had MIDI capabilities that I wanted to put to use. How best to do this than with playing MIDI's on MS QuickBASIC 4.5. I have a tad bit of experience with QB 4.5. It's a very flexible programming language with a lot of powerful features. The days of the "10 Print, 20 Goto 10" were over. BASIC programs could now contain subroutines like their C/C++ equivalents. Knowing how flexible QB is, I looked for MIDI routines. Looking at a program...
