Here we have a very rare Heavy Psych/Prog LP released in 1973 on the French `Phillips` label (6325 024) by UK Band `Bachdenkel`. The 1st original issue was only released in France and was supposed to be a double LP, the company reduced it down to one disc and omitted the 1st disc which is why the labels oddly read side 2 & side 3. The band originally from Birmingham UK (Home of Black Sabbath etc) all moved to France where they recorded the album in 1970 but with little record company...

This album wa recorded in 1969 by former `Crazy World of Arthur Brown` bassist `Nicholas Greenwood` but not released until 1972 on Kingdom records (KVL 9002) – a label best known for reggae/soul releases - it simply slipped under the radar. Titled `Cold Cuts` it came with a bizarre front cover showing `cuts of meat stacked like a person on a chair but musically it is very strong, which is why a top UK copy sold for £4750 in 2014 and even lower condition copies will sell for £1000+ (there...

KGB were the supergroup of the supergroups, the creme de la creme, a mid seventies collective featuring of the most impeccable musicians in the UK and USA, they created a controversy, a mystique and a collectability that has endured and grown for almost 30 years. Even today, rumours persist that Grech's old mucker Stevie Winwood contributed anonymously to the recordings although no one has ever confirmed this. Released here for the first time on CD. Female vocals, quite on the level. With a moniker like that, it's hard not to be cruel -- Room for improvement springs immediately to mind, or how about this...

Here is the UK Polydor 1973 release by French Prog Rockers `Sandrose`. Recent top copies are selling for around 400 - 500 British Pounds and looks like it will continue to rise in value, the UK issue comes in a single matt sleeve, printed and made in England by MacNeill Press on the `red` Polydor label. A truly superb Prog Rock LP with flashes of early Genesis, some great melodic passages akin to `This Van Leer`s Focus` hard to believe it never sold well making it a rarity in today`s market....

Christmas – Heritage 1970 (Canada, Psychedelic,Blues Rock) Christmas were a short-lived band from Oshawa, Canada. Lead singer, multiinstrumentalist and composer, Bob Bryden, put Christmas together on December 25, 1969. It was a rare specimen of unique Canadian progressive Hard Rock until the Rush era. The album Heritage was recorded by Terry Brown, the future producer of Rush, and released in the end of 1970. It demonstrates powerful and hypnotic guitars riffs from the golden era of Rhythm...

The genesis of If occurred on London's late 60s jazz scene, when guitar ace Terry Smith, saxophonists Dick Morrissey and Dave Quincy joined US soul singer J.J. Jackson's “Greatest Soul Band In The Land” Jackson was managed by the American Lew Futterman, who saw the possibility of forming a UK version of Chicago or Blood, Sweat and Tears. Smith, who had experienced larger audiences as guitar for teen idol Scott Walker, was ready for a new challenge after years on the smaller jazz scene, so...

The second album in the discography of Baden-Baden. Effect of Canterbury Scene Zappa and very noticeable. Sing a little bit and in English ...The second record by Brainstorm, from 1973, reveals even more variety to this German group's take on Canterbury jazz-rock. The album starts off with a spacy keyboard drone, dripping water noises, and gentle acoustic guitars, and just when you think you have the track, "Hirnwind," pegged as a mellow folk number, it becomes hyperactive progressive...

Riverson - Riverson (Canada 1973, Folk Rock, Psychedelic Rock Of all the zillions of CSNY-inspired westcoast hippie rock LPs from the early 1970s, this is one of the very best. Another feather in the cap for the great Columbia Canada office, with an excellent production bringing out the max from these talented longhairs. Clearly out of a "Deja Vu" corner (minus the sugary Nash crap, naturally), the songwriting here is very good, grabbing your attention without being overly commercial,...

The only long play (with added bonus) a group of Shrewsbury (county of Shropshire). Guitarist / writer Trevor Povey, lead singer Alex Pearse, bassist Dave Nicholls and drummer Derek Perry in 1969 set up a group of Chicago Max, later renamed the Sopwith Camel, then - in Malibou, then - in Armageddon. And then a small record label Reflection Records signed them and recommended to be called Dogfeet ... The album was released in 1970 and immediately became (because of the small circulation), a...

One of the short-lived and unjustly neglected British groups. The group was established in 1969, a street musician, author-performer Don Partridge and guitarist Gordon Giltrap. Being, in essence, an acoustic folk bands, musicians greatly expanded fairly narrow range at the time of this trend. These compositions are intertwined and psychedelic accents and instrumental innovations. The band recorded two albums, this one - debut.   Tracks: 01. Maiden Flight Eliza - 0:00 02. The band's debut album from Birmingham (West Midlands county), created in the summer of 1968. Galliard was produced by the notorious Phil Wainman, later a drummer and manager of Bay City Rollers. Total released 2 records.Galliard, formed in Birmingham during the summer of 1968, were one of the few progressive rock bands to come out of Birmingham. They were, in essence, a much-augmented later metamorphosis of Craig, the four-piece who recorded the fearsome 'I Must Be Mad'. Galliard cut two...
