In "Felix Doubles for Darwin," we find our hero traveling to Africa to win the $50 prize if he can prove "man came from monkeys." This 1924 silent cartoon has public domain music (by Jelly Roll Morton's Trio) and sound effects added.

Felix won’t get fed until his owner finds the solution to his crossword puzzle: a seven-letter word chiefly found in Russia, so he goes to Russia to find out. This is a silent Felix the Cat cartoon from 1925, taken from the seriously truncated Kodascope version commonly available. It has the music heard on many public domain releases with a few added sound effects.
