Over a hundred avid bicyclists took to the streets of McAllen for the city's first annual Arbor Day Bike Ride. The course was the biker's choice, 20 miles or 40 miles. There was also a shorter course for children.
McAllen hosts very active bicyclist clubs which hit the road several times a week. "A 40 mile ride is nothing to an experienced biker," we were told.
The lessons of the day were not only to honor the trees which beautify our world and clean our air, but to ride safety and responsibly. Every single bicyclist followed that behavior. Watch the video, we dare you not to feel the urge to put the foot to the pedal and ride.
