>> you know who i never dated because he's married and happily with a kid is gary tuchman. i said i never dated. that was a bad transition. >> gary tuchman in niagara falls. i love the tuchman family. >> happy almost new year to you. it's still 2018 in new orleans. but here in niagara falls, ontario, canada it's what year? >> it's 2019. it just got really windy. >> this was canada's largest celebration of new year's with tens of thousands of people despite the pouring rain but unusually warm. it's about 45 degrees fahrenheit right now compared to 2 degrees fahrenheit last year at this celebration.

and we are on it banks of the niagara river and these are the falls right here. lindsey can tell you an amazing story about the niagara falls. >> it may not be as cool as pressing the button for the ball to drop on times square, but we got to change the lights and pick the color. they're like pick whatever color you want. >> there's like 12 colors and we picked them. these are the biggest of the falls. that span canada and america. when he walked across the tightrope, that's where he was. horseshoe falls. you can see people left the concert and are standing along the rails to see the niagara falls. and the skyline tower, this is ontario's space needle, and we saw the most amazing fireworks at the stroke of midnight come out of the top of that tower on the roof of that tower.

>> must have been a good view for the people up there. >> yeah, and the restaurant is up there. this is great celebration, canada's largest celebration. >> i i've got to ask you guys a question. what is the the one thing my dad should have done but didn't do related to the falls? >> what do you think? >> i think your dad should go over -- i think he should go over niagara falls in a barrel. >> in a barrel. >> and i will tell you don and brooke, if we had a dollar for every person, for every person who asked us to go over a barrel over the falls, we'd be very rich people. i want to tell you a public service announcement before we say good-bye, that only about 20% of daredevils who have tried it survive. the rest don't. my advice is don't get a barrel, don't go over niagara falls and have a happy life and a happy 2019.
