the president of the court, -- the precedent of the court, that they respected the right of privacy in the constitution of the united states? did you hear that? were they not telling the truth then? >> c-span is live outside the supreme court tonight after the decision released by the high court today in dobbs b jackson. it means the right to abortion is no longer protected by the constitution. it would allow states to eliminate abortion as they choose. justice alito, writing for the majority said it is time to return the issue of abortion to the people's elected representatives. justice stephen breyer dissented along with sonia sotomayor and elena kagan. you're watching live coverage from the steps of the u.s. supreme court on c-span.
