The report presents the results of an experimental investigation of the effects of rotor head configuration and fuselage yaw on the wake characteristics and rotor performance of a generalized 1/8th scale helicopter model. Several rotor head configurations were tested with and without rotor blades at various operating conditions. Fuselage yaw angle was varied for all conditions tested. The flow direction and dynamic pressure at the tail of the model were measured, as were rotor shaft forces and moments. When the model was tested with the rotor, blade vibratory stresses were measured. Wake survey data were obtained with and without rotor blades; however, the data obtained with blades were not consistent.
