This children's book is written in both English and Spanish and tells the story of Jimmy, a second grader infected with the AIDS (Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome) virus. The story, written from the child's point of view, introduces Jimmy's home and family and explains how he became infected with the virus at birth and how the AIDS virus is and is not transmitted. The boy's feelings about being infected and how he came to understand these feelings are also addressed. The story ends with a call to other children not to be scared of or mean to people with AIDS.
