Is that a horse head bookend in your pocket, or are you just happy to see us? This week weâve wood worked our way back to 1981 to watch one of the first (and possibly best) parodies of the slasher genre: Student Bodies. The students of Lamab High are some of the horniest film teens weâve ever seen. Unfortunately for them, theyâre all being stalked by a sexually frustrated serial killer with a fetish for weird murder weapons. Toby the school prude pleads with her friends to put the kibosh on their wild and crazy ways, but since everything from garbage to funerals gets them hot, Tobyâs stuck picking up the pieces⦠of their bodies. Shop teacher Mr. Dumpkin and Malvert the janitor are some of stranger (and funniest) characters weâve come across in our B Movie viewing, and the killer The Breather takes some hilarious shots at both the slasher genre and the entire cast, but the film falls flat during its acid trip of an ending, leaving the viewer wondering what, if anything, just happened. I donât know where they get off leaving us hanging like that at 75 cents an hour, but weird ending aside, this is a fun film that both horror and parody fans will find appealing, and itâs one of our favorites so far. Although itâs not available on Netflix, be sure to check it out, Little Miss Shouldnât Even Be Listening To This Podcast Anyway!

Next week weâre still in the 80s with another horror comedy, 1989âs My Momâs A Werewolf. Teen Jennifer has to deal with her mom as she goes through the Big Change â into a werewolf. (And you thought YOUR mom was a bitch!) After being bitten by a rabid pet store owner, she begins a difficult and âhilariousâ struggle against her own lycanthropy in a fashion that Teen Wolf (and probably Teen Wolf Too) pulls off much better. At least this movie wonât be the hassle that the last two were, as it IS available for streaming on Netflix. You can check out the trailer here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mMH6b4y7UE8
