fair. >> it does look like in terms of public opinion and how it changed last week with the public hearings, it did not change in favor of the democrats, we can pull up the latest impeachment poll numbers and shows that now as compared to what october, there's a change of plus 1.6% now 45.3% actually oppose impeachment, so they seem to agree with you. >> yeah, and i would just say looking at the numbers and as someone who used to look at the numbers after i held hearings and reported back to my principals on it, they are not good, the numbers that you mentioned, there's a very substantial swing in independents and i've seen increase focus on the notion on why are we still dealing with this, why aren't we dealing with matters that math to the american people, we did oversight but we moved a lot of
legislation that got sign intoed law at the same time. heather: but at the same time here is the question, can the president get a fair trial in the senate while democrats, you know, control the house? >> i think he can because in the senate ultimately the procedures are going to be set by leader mcconnell and we need to look no further than the kavanaugh confirmation hearings where justice kavanaugh got a fair hearing and that result worked and i think you will see a commitment from the senate republicans to follow precedent, follow the procedures that it had been used before and give a fair hearing, i think the democratic control of the house, some of the democratic externally, i don't think that will matter as much. heather: even though that's what we've seen, that's all we've seen leading up until now?

outlet will continue to investigate the trump administration as the government of the day, bloomberg news will publish investigative pieces on bloomberg and the other candidates written by other outlets if they need to. so the question that you asked is being debated on social media, one twitter use e says the media look the other way, they don't care about justice nor america, if it was legitimate news cover they would investigate it, they are more focused on manipulating viewers with biased news coverage, reading the replies, i don't get the problem with this, if he's in the race a news organization that he's affiliated with, shouldn't comment on the race if he wins nomination should apply to general election as well. now, my big question is bloomberg news talking about investigative pieces but i wonder how they will cover day-to-day news on the campaign trail because if they cover him, potentially more favorably could

heather: i don't is that the st? >> he does have no clear path for nomination as robert suggested, he's not going to be competing in early states, a strategy that hasn't worked in modern history. it's going to be harder to pull african-american voters away from joe biden, remember, they make up 25% of the democratic electorate and they generally decide who the nominee is. anyone eisegesis to what michael bloomberg's is, he can screw it up for biden as well. heather: why he says he's running, listen. >> i decided to run because i think it's time for change,
donald trump has not been a good president, this country has been pulled apart, we need to pull it together to make sure we help everybody across the country and achieve the american dream. heather: talking about change and the american dream, a lot of familiar themes, robert and since you were talking about the spending plan, in internet ads alone he plans to spend over 100 million drive, 15 to 20 million. >> he's serious on the plan not the get elizabeth warren in the white house. he has complete shattering of the first primary states with pete buttigieg winning iowa, warren winning new hampshire, biden winning south carolina and bernie winning nevada and then going to super tuesday and hoping that he can spend enough
money to win a couple of those states, that's not a realistic plan, what his plan is, if you spend that money to put centrist, moderate positions against medicare for all just green new deal, against many wild spending plan that -- plant will never go anywhere. he's a 77-year-old billionaire, he has lots of money. heather: what about the tactics of 2020 dems trying to fend off fresh competition or will they acknowledge it? >> they will acknowledge it that i will call him billionaire trying to buy presidency, the offensive comments of women in the past including rape, i do agree with robert, 65% of democratic primary voters are happy with the crop that they have and the fact that if bloomberg comes in with bernie and biden saying, gee, what we need is another 70-year-old
