as always you make the show possible and we can never thank you enough. set your dvr and never miss an episode. it let your hearts not be troubled, the "the ingraham angle," laura ingraham coming up. we will see you back here another day. laura: fox news alert in new york, there are two storm related deaths in tennessee as tornadoes ripped through america's are leaving a path of destruction and death. in arkansas a tornado tore through a 90 bed nursing home leaving one person dead and 5 others hurt. within 2 hours the building had been cleared and everyone was accounted for and in illinois
doesn't people may be trapped in an amazon warehouse after roof collapse, at least 100 people may have been working on the night shift, workers were reported her. amazon says it is assessing the situation adding the safety and well-being of its employees and partners is the top priority right now. one tornado was confirmed that there were reports of several others, two storm related deaths reported in tennessee, kentucky's governor declared a state of emergency due to major tornado damage in the rest of the state. back to regular programming. laura: double the number of attorneys defending and enforcing voting rights laws to prevent voting discrimination, provide baselines for assessing access to the ballot box. >> the anti-voter laws many state of past are part of an intentional effort to exclude americans from participating in a democracy. our congress must act. laura: congress must act, they
know these putrid bills are going nowhere and all that is left is this. the jussie smollett defense to losing, we are not losers, we are victims, victims of a racist system that perpetuates white privilege that somehow elected barack obama twice and this is the party of hope and change or at least it was. so the democrats are headed full speed ahead to the cliff's average. not only are they not hitting the brakes, they cut the brake lines altogether. the old party of fdr and jfk is more like the party of thelma and louise. you think i'm exaggerating? the gop is leading the democrats by double digits in the generic ballot for the first time ever in the cnbc all-americans survey.
that at 10 point lead and biden's approval rating remains as a pathetic 41% and it gets worse. the so-called urban ring counties surrounding cities now prefer a republican control of congress by 5 points. do you remember all those articles about how the gop has lost the suburbs forever? as hard as it is to believe, turns out a lot of suburbanites like safe streets, they like a strong economy and strong border, according to the same hole, the most important issues for voters are inflation, immigration, and safety, crime, democrats have bombed on each one. on the economy biden's approval is underwater by 19 points and is probably going to drop further on today's inflation announcement. it must. >> 6.8 of 6.8 and this is a new record, the highest level since
june of 1982. food and energy your for europe 4.9. that's the highest level since june of 1991. we call it 30 years. laura: devastating workers rages and failing savings but after the white house invited reporters over recently for a special off camera briefing magically the press found great optimism. >> the strongest economy i have everything, people confident about their jobs and spending more than i have ever seen. they are doing so in roaring 20s style. >> costs up, the national average for a gallon of regular has fallen to $3.35, the lowest since october. just look at that.
laura: oh. how insulting and monstrously out of touch but at least president biden as a smart number 2 behind him who can offer in and offer sage advice in difficult times. oh, wait. with kamala harris the democrats are between a rock and a hard place. if something should happen to biden, or if he doesn't run for reelection which he won't, they are stuck with an unqualified, unintelligent and completely unlikable woman as the presumptive front runner. in a hypothetical trump kamala harris matchup trump received 50% support, harris 41% support. trump would win the electoral college in a landslide with that margin and with their supposedly backup plan, mayor pete, democrats are in even deeper trouble. in a trump buttigieg matchup the
former president received an 11 point margin of victory. this is what happens when you put diversity over merit, talent and experience, in the end always win out. it turns out minorities value competence and results just as much as anyone else so it makes sense that with the biden wreckage piling up the gop is seeing a huge gain among hispanic voters was a recent wall street journal paul notes hispanic voters are evenly split in their choice for congress 37% said they would support the republican congressional candidate, 37% said they would favor the democrat. in 2020 biden beats trump among hispanics by 30 points but now in a head to head matchup the journal reported the vote is evenly split, 43-43. that is stunning. and we are not talking huge
gains in texas and florida, big gains for republicans in parts of the northeast as well so the lesson for republicans is obvious. trump's policies worked. there is no going back to the old perpetual war, open borders, globalist views of yesteryear. soon they should if they are smart until a new 21st-century contract with america. cut taxes, revive the oil and gas industry through exploration, shake up education, advance small businesses, reinvigorate american manufacturing. it is all a winning strategy and any republican who goes down the path of liz cheney just be joining the democrats in their thelma and louise ending.
and that is the angle. there is biden. joining me as ari fleischer, former white house press secretary, fox news contributor, lisa. host of the truth with lisa booth and fox news contributor stephen miller, former senior advisor to trump and america first legal founder. the democrats keep acting like this is a messaging problem but what is at the root of this plummeting series of polls for biden, kamala, and the rest? >> president biden is in over his head. every one of the major issues of consequence you said it, look what president biden has done and said, illegal immigration to america was seasonal but it is not. he said inflation was transitory but it isn't. he said he would get all-americans out of afghanistan. he didn't. he said nobody told him to leave
2500 troops in afghanistan all the generals did. he said he wouldn't oppose vaccine mandates but he did. every issue of consequence president biden has been wrong in the personal side of president biden. he said he was arrested in south africa during his 2020 campaign, he is to drive 18 wheeler truck and he said he went to visit 3 of life synagogue after the shooting when he didn't. i'm sorry but he keeps a few french fries short of a happy meal and that is the problem. >> despite his terrible inflation news biden was actually bragging about the economy today. >> every other aspect of the economy is racing ahead, doing incredibly well. we never had this kind of growth in 60 years. all the things that are in the build back better plan is reducing costs for ordinary people, reducing costs for
ordinary people. laura: reducing costs. this is stunning. >> this man is delusional. we are 3 million jobs short of where we were before the shutdowns, stay-at-home orders and lockdowns primarily blue states put into effect, that means if president biden had done nothing we would have more than 3 million jobs, potentially a lot more than 3 million jobs and we have today if he had just stayed the course with trump's policies. is for the build back better plan we got an accurate score that shows the thing is going to add $3 trillion to the deficit despite the massive crippling tax hikes. that means everything in america is going to be more expensive because when the government plows money into things like they have in higher education, what happens? bills go up and on top of that, runaway inflation which means
everything becomes at of reach for hard-working americans. >> there is also this stunning moment from samantha power at the democracy summit. >> the rise of new technologies the past two decades parallels the democratic recession we were discussing, the abusive technology and personal data spread this information, pitt citizens against one another. are problems that can start at our shores and spread abroad. laura: about cycling speech ahead of 2022-2024, online and elsewhere apparently. >> cycling of freedom we've seen throughout covid from the left stripping americans of their freedom and their power and the biggest problem democrats are facing is there too woke. the perfect headline to summarize today's democratic party was from back in may when aoc illegally parked her 60,$000 does the outside whole foods, that is today's democrat party,
insistence on calling hispanic latin x when only 2% to 4% like the term or critical race theory which led to virginia swinging toward republicans by 12 points. the party of the coastal elite, liberals, the rest of america up for grabs and this is why we have seen the republican party turn into this multi ethnic working-class party, and went back congress if they stick to basics, freedom, law and order, reducing the financial burden for hard-working families. laura: the big issues in the fall i cited on the angle, i will ask donald trump about this in a few moments, inflation, crime and the border, inflation, crime, border, those are bread and butter issues and hispanics, african-americans, who says they
like to live in the woke world, how's a lower standard of living good for anybody? >> the thing about inflation and crime is they touch you every time you go shopping, every time you walk out on the street, those are tangible really shoes people suffer from. immigration too sends the signal we don't follow the laws in america, no one cares so it offends you on a sense of right and wrong. they pile up, the democrats have taken the wrong side on so many of these issues. the change in hispanic voting is so significant, vital to the future of the republican party and what do you think? hispanic americans -- not just because people cater to the more
want hispanic issues, they are american issues, daily life issues and the democrats are increasingly out of touch on all of them. >> i remember when we were working on one of the old amnesty proposals and at the time a lot of republican bigwigs said you can't win the hispanic vote if you are strong on the border. if you come across drawn immigration you cannot win the hispanic vote. how many times did we hear that and what do these numbers tell us in hispanic turnout for trump and polls that have just come out in the last few days? >> i remember it well, tried to throw his boat out of the republican party for standing up, the trump revolution proved hispanic voters care about their quality of life and that means safe communities, strong borders, rising standard of living, growing wages.
what does and controlled illegal immigration do? it makes everything more difficult for working hispanics, hard to get a job and to get healthcare, quality education and harder to be safe, to have drug-free communities. it is an attack on working people and we are seeing what happens when you have globalism under biden versus america first trumpism and hispanic voters saying we want to be safe and prosperous. >> i was looking at those numbers for the 12 cities that have the highest murder rates, all run by liberal democrats, every single one, when are they going to wake up, when are they going to throw the bums out? >> i don't think they can because this is a party that worships at the altar of criminals. kamala harris told jason blake she's proud of him, a man who showed up to revitalize a woman, pulled a knife on police officers, a political party that puts up statues of george floyd who was also a criminal. i don't think they get it because i don't think they care. they worship it and wonder why we have such problems with
collectivity as well as the southern border and i agree with what stephen said, let's get back to kitchen table issues, the issues that impact americans, the border, law and order, reducing the financial costs and republicans will win back the house and the senate. >> excellent discussion you won't see anywhere else and in moments like screws interview with donald trump, his thoughts on the new gop coalition of voters he helped create and the recent waves of crime meeting democrat run cities, the jussie smollett verdict and a verdict, a court decision that advanced his own interests, stay there. ♪♪
weeks and you can get yours at 45books.com. congratulations on the book, thank you for joining us tonight. we are going to get to the book in the next segment but i want to start with something i touched on in my angle earlier which is the 4-year high in inflation right now, prices going up. biden is blaming it on the pandemic and you have folks like jim cramer at cnbc saying it's the best economy ever, totally gushing, your response. >> it's not the best economy ever and we have inflation that is killing our country and you saw what inflation did you jimmy carter's presidency and we will have worse than that, look at gas prices, gasoline was at one dollar and $0.87 a gallon and now in california it is over $7, $7.77 to be exact and it is going to be catching up with a lot of other parts of the
country so we are not doing well, we are doing horribly in terms of our image all over the world with the afghanistan disaster in the border where millions and millions of people are pouring into our country, we are at a very low point in our country's history and a very embarrassing point. >> something mitch mcconnell said just a few months ago about bailing out the democrats by agreeing to raise the debt ceiling, he said your lieutenants on capitol hill now have the time they claim they lack to address the debt ceiling through reconciliation, they cannot invent another crisis and ask for my help. he was speaking then to chuck schumer but now he flipped on that. was your reaction to mcconnell's reneging on that pledge? >> is usually gave up and he has done a terrible job, you have i
call it the infrastructure bill, it's not infrastructure. it is anywhere from 9% to 11% infrastructure that got past and now he has the bill back worse bill and that bill is a disaster for our country, finances, over $5 trillion, $1.7 trillion, over $5 trillion and other people agree with that and it is absolutely killing the fabric of our nation and what we stand for and mitch mcconnell should have used the debt ceiling, i watched you arguing with a certain senator from louisiana and i'm not talking about the great senator kennedy who is doing a great job but the argument -- he is a disaster. 's laura: you're talking my back and forth with senator cassidy of louisiana where he said agreeing to the first infrastructure bill would not be
a glide path to the $4 trillion social spending bill and will help stop the social spending bill but in the end you predict manchin will as always cave on that. >> i watched the back and forth with cassidy, he made a fool of himself, he is a disaster, made it so much easier to get the second bill through which is really bad and they did things like all of a sudden congress is writing the rules of the senate. what mitch mcconnell has done is incredible. he gave away our biggest and strongest bargaining chip. we could have gotten rid of the build back worse bill as i call it and that is what it is, we could have won everything and he gave up. the best chip that we had. it's not even the debt ceiling ship. it's not even believable what he did and he ought to be replaced
as the leader. he leads by handing out campaign contributions to senators. what he did by giving up on the debt ceiling and by the way i know plenty of democrats, the democrats cannot believe they got it and he got nothing for it. he would have been able to absolutely kill that. now they are going to use it for the supreme court and even worse than that they are going to use it for the voting rights which is a disaster for our country and disaster for the republican party. laura: i don't think that's going to pass but arizona and west virginia, your message to the voters in both states because kristen sinema seemed a little stronger on the spending side of things than joe manchin, looks like manchin which cave on build back better what is your message to the voters in both states were not approving of the way things are going now? >> it is don't let your senators
do it. it is a disaster for our country, two great states, when i won by a tremendous amount, the other one i believe i won very substantially, arizona, west virginia won big, they are really counting on their senators not to allow this to happen it if you look at polling that is absolutely so. they just cannot let these senators cave because it will be so destructive for our country and you talk about inflation that will double the number on inflation and inflation ultimately is bigger than any tax you could impose on people as you know. laura: hispanics are flocking to the gop especially in your old hometown of queens, new york, 50% of residents where they are hispanic swung towards you by 18 points the shift was more pronounced increasing 75% of residents are hispanic which had
a swing of 25 points toward trump, that's the new analysis of the election results. do you think this is the beginning of the reforming of the republican party started by your policies? >> it is a game changer, in texas, the border state, the biggest vote since they call it reconstruction, that means the civil war, the biggest numbers since the civil war and very proud of it. hispanics, they are ambitious, they want security and safety, they understood the border better than anybody and they are very entrepreneurial, they don't want to see what is happening and they don't want socialism and i would say better than anybody, flocking, i want to take full credit for it and think i will, flocking to us and i saw that in my area of queens they are flocking in numbers nobody has seen before but i tell you they are incredible people and they are coming to the republican party.
laura: doesn't that say we have 12 senate seats in new england and republicans seem to give up in new england, california, every single time. with the shift in the hispanic loaded the growing population doesn't this make the case for a 50 state strategy, real strategy for the republican party moving forward including in old new england? >> i think so it if you look at california where they send out 38 million ballots, 38 million ballots, those are numbers i don't believe. nobody is going to tell me the republicans lose california by that number and in california you have an increasing number of hispanics where we do well but those are phony numbers, those are rigged numbers, there is no way the republicans do so badly in california. we do well and now we are going to really do well but when you are sending out 36, 38 million ballots and nobody knows where
they are being sent i think you get fake results. laura: a lot of ballot applications in california. stay with us if you would. we have a lot to get to including your reaction to jussie smollett and that verdict, federal appellate court ruling on january 6th, a lot more coming up. ...and dry, cracked skin. new gold bond advanced healing ointment. restore healthy skin, with no sticky feeling. gold bond. champion your skin.
