nuclear conflict. the other part is if it isn't really true and he's just, you know, rambling making sloppy sames then we have a real problem because we have weakness around world. i think i don't know -- i think it has a little bit to do it more of the president biden just being undisciplined with language but wech a problem in the world projecting this kind of weakness we started with debacle in afghanistan that made our allies question what we're up to then you have president biden not really sure where he stands on a number of issues whether it's dealing with taiwan in china and china has huge interest in -- in continuing their belt and road initiative. their global dominance when it comes to defense. you know, bullying their neighbors, teaming up with our enemies like iran and russia now. and you see, you know president biden talking about getting back into an iran nuclear deal negotiating with people like that when we've had this horrible tragedy occur and women around world bravely particularly in iran these brave

few votes, that's going to make a difference to hold the biden administration accountability. and really put forth issues that we think that we can find like minded democrats who are now paralyzed by this far left wing of the democratic party, people who work with us before, but now the tail wagging the dog far left -- the democratic socialist of america that group are really preventing some of like minded moderate minded democrats and understand something right now, we don't have any moderate democrats based on their voting record. may say they're moderates but bedon't have based on voting record let's join with republicans, let's hold biden administration accountability my biggest fear is that people are starting to recognize even democrats that joe biden and his administration and the policies and his -- lack of competence is dangerous to our country and to the world. that i think with the republicans in charge, you're going see common sense, you're going see a plan, and we're going take decisive action.

biden could face up to ten years in prison along with the fine up to $250,000. jon. jon: alexandria hoff alexandria, thank you. former hunter biden business associate tony bobulinski appeared on tuesday tucker carlson tonight with interesting investigations allegations regarding fbi and its investigation of the first son and perhaps his father. let's bring in george washington university law professor and fox news contributor jonathon turley he's been following this investigation since it began in 2018. tony bobulinski as you well know jonathon former business associate of hunter biden who had a number of concerns about way that hunter biden was managing his business he took some of those concerns to the fbi and an agent named tebow was sitting in on what he had to say
3:26 pm
tebow apparently told bobulinski that he would get back to him. listen to how -- how bobulinski reported it to tucker carlson. >> i spent five plus hours sitting in a room with that one point i think as much as six federal agents walking through all of the facts of my knowledge of the biden family. how i got involved in this, tim tebow and last discussion with legal could believe was listen we know tony is cooperating and -- i haven't heard from him since. >> so they never got back to him. what does that tell you? >> well it says a great deal, doesn't it? this was a -- not just a witness but a critical witness involved in these transactions. it's clear at least to most of us -- that hunter biden was engaging in a multimillion dollar influence pedaling scheme ppg his uncle james has also been
3:27 pm
mentioned president himself comes up in these e-mails. this was an enormously sensational allegation. but it was also supported by a key witness. but there was no follow-up, the question is why, and there's a whistle-blower in the fbi that apparently said that agent tebow effectively shut down the investigation. and many of us are scratching our heads on this one. because what he was alleging was foreign dealings involving millions of dollars that seem quite clearly an effort to buy access to the then vice president and the current president of the united states. jon: and none of this has nothing we should say with the con tents of his laptop which is a whole other can of worms. but people are saying you know, that the fbi agents say they have enough evidence to
3:28 pm
prosecute. but it is really up to the prosecutors in the justice department and, in fact, the u.s. attorney for delaware david wise, correct? >> correct and wise is a respected prosecutor. but the timing of this leak is intriguing. look, biden's attorneys are correct. there should not be leaks from an investigation of this kind but we have seen those leaks repeatedly on mar-a-lago other investigations coming of the justice department. the question is why this leak at this time? and it may reflect that agencies are frustrated. with the delay in bringing any types of charges, what concerns some of us is what's not referenced in the charges being allegedly considered, and those are charges dealing with this huge influence pedaling operation by the biden family. there's not even a reference to a farrah violation being a key
3:29 pm
charge farrah is the law governing the registration of foreign agents. >> right foreign administration act. >> use that law aggressively against trump figures like paul manafort if manafort standard applies one would think that hunter biden would be charged in the same way. jon: hunter biden for instance, offers paintings for sale for half a million dollars a piece. after having essentially zero art training from what i understand. and yet there's no way of knowing who these buyers are and for that matter which country or which government they dprom. come from. >> yeah, i mean, account that you get from the laptop of all of these e-mails is that hunter biden and his uncle walking warned credit card meerns their belts they were cashing in on access and influence. that's how many of us view it. now, obviously, they have not been charged influence peddling is a long standing cottage

industry in washington. but these e-mails also detail a great number of potential crimes including tax violations, drug violations and other crimes. it is a target rich environment for prosecutors. jon: but so far no decision, no prosecution, it's still could come, correct? >> we expect it will come. it's hard to believe that they would not make a charge. the concern is that the department of justice could cut a generous deal with hunter biden and have that matter closed off. there's probably a concern about the house flipping and the promised investigation into this influence peddling operation allegedly carried out by the biden family. jon: we'll see what happens. jonathon turley, thank you. >> thank you, jon. jon: well, have you filled up your tarng tank lately if you

s jon: well for a very brief moment, it looked like gas prices were actually coming down. and they were, but now they are inching back up again. mean while nations around world are bracing for a possible recession. hannah cox the cofounder of based politics joins us to break that down. what's going on with gas prices? why are we seeing them increase right now, hannah? >> well jon that's basically because we're doing everything that you would not want to be doing to bring down gas prices right now. biden administration continues to hingedder domestic production to put regulation it is in the way to limit how much offshore and fracking and all of that
3:36 pm
means that we're dependent on other countries for gases and in thes know what it means to bring down price and they're not willing to do it because it would mean going opposite way of their progressive agenda and actually getting government out of the way an letting the free market respond to this issue. >> i want to put up a screen that shows where gas prices are right now three dollars 90 cents gallon is the average price these days month ago down to 3.75 which actually seemed kind of -- cheap compared with where we had been a year ago. it was 3.26. so you know, prices are way up, obviously, during the bide biden administration and we know he killed keystone pipeline on day one is that part of the reason? >> well absolutely. it is and whining you have gas prices it is true for saism many other things with prices lots that contribute to this but we know he's made bad decisions particularly when it comes to climate agenda and shutting down
3:37 pm
keystone pipeline was part of that and looking at not renewing lease when is it comes to offshore drilling so it is a trojan horse. most of the things would do do that much to reduce impact of climate. but they would do things to make it harder per the poor people to survive in our country because that's who this always hits hard whes you look at progressive ideas an how agenda drive. it means that price will go up and people who live on margins will be most impacted by that. jon: meantime if you don't want to burn oil because of your green concerns, why does it make sense to go begging to the saudis and venezuela to pump more oil when we're not going to be drilling it in this country? >> you know i think that's the question of the day that points to bigger issue with climate change and a lot of policies behind it which is that we're not the drivers of this. it is actually a lot of third world countries other countries that are contradicting much worse than we are and yet we continue to pummel and resources
3:38 pm
here and to profit off of those instead make ourselves dpengts on people and again, none of this does anything to actually address the issues with climate i think there are real free market things we could be doing if we were concerned about that. this is really just a trojan horse and what they're using to try to drive progressive agenda to get all kinds of other things and policies done under name of climate that really don't pertain to it really has a lot to do with socialist agenda and trying to drive everybody towards being more dependent on the state. >> meantime let's talk about strategic petroleum reserve it was enacted it was, you know, established to try to prevent, you know, the kind of problems we saw in this country after the arab oil embargo it was supposed to be an emergency supply for big, big troubles. i don't think it was ever intended to, you know, help a president keep gas prices down. but that's what is happened if you look at the far right edge of this chart, we were up close
3:39 pm
to -- 750 million barrels in the oil reserves back in 2010 we're down to about 400 barrels now. it's half gone. >> well and it is pretty alarming like you said this is supposed to be for an miranda warning not because we have a economic e literal and group of politicians who don't know how to micromanage an economy and think they can come in and set prices and that they can shut down supply and that they can just continue to kind of play puppeteers that none of this will come home to ruse but that's not the case we're dealing with ramifications what they've been doing for the past two years. instead of wake up and realizing that micromanaging economy is impossible and that ultimately this hurts people, they continue to instead xowngd these kinds of actions and double down on the very that i things that got us e problematic situation we're in the first place and this is alarming and we don't have serious people in charge at the moment.
