the appeal of walker, he's not polished, not a traditional politician. i think georgia is interesting and what i'm watching is the turnout among republicans, i think a lot of republicans have a little egg on their face in georgia, they feel a little responsible because for 72000 of them didn't turn out and that runoff so i give the edge to walker at this time. jon: let's talk about a politician who is polished, former president obama. democrat are trotting him out to campaign in these latter weeks ahead of the midterm elections. is he going to be the force that gives these candidates, push them over the top? >> i feel democrats have amnesia because when the democrats are

in power input barack obama out there to campaign for them it doesn't work out. it didn't work out in 2009, massachusetts over got down, gray deeds over mcconnell in virginia and john over chris christie, none of the democrats when across the line, same thing and 2022 or 2021 when barack obama campaigned for terry mcauliffe in that race. barack obama remains personally popular. however is not a good cycle for democrats and that's the challenge. jon: i want to put up a graph that shows inflation situation

people are talking about at the kitchen table. the issues are not on twitter, they are discussed at the kitchen table and i think that's a challenge for the democrats because they continue to dismiss the problems that are very important to voters. jon: we are looking at what republican's hope is going to be a red with election but not clear it's going to be that. i think we have a graphic, it's number one in our packet for the control room team but republic and's versus democrats -- there we go. republicans are hopeful they can pick up about 16 seats, democrats looks to be picking up 204 so clearly republican advantage there but anything can

happen in an election like this. >> right, anything can happen but i'd argue having covering these races on the ground talking to people while the reporting i do is anecdotal, it shows a lot more enthusiasm for voting against the party in power and that's what i'm seeing. i think it will be a lot more seats in 16 for the republicans nothing there will be some surprise house seats republicans when. in rhode island, a candidate is winning a house seats, that tells you there's something bigger going on. jon: who were talking earlier about the possibility of republican governor, we will put up the best and worst case scenarios for both parties.

the cost of race in the house, 31 but here's the best and worst case. worst case for democrats they wind up 189 seats and then on the right, 2464 republicans would be their best case, that would be a serious shellacking could be in the middle. best case democrats to 20 and republicans remain minority with 215. your going with republic and majority. >> absolutely. without a doubt republik and majority and maybe more sizable than people understand including republicans. there are some seats i think might break puicans nobody is paying attention to and this is important, it's not that people love republicans more, democrats let them down.
