administration. i think it's important that we check in with them not just cover washington. on the illegal immigration front, governor, you, i believe you arrested more than 800 or so during what's called operation tidal wave, but, you are having some trouble getting all of these illegals deported. tell us how states and the federal government can work together to move these people out of the country even more rapidly? >> well, laura, when president trump got elected i called a special session of the florida legislature to get ledges requiring all state and local law enforcement agencies to actively participate with dhs and immigration enforcement. we're not a sanctuary state. we ban sanctuary cities. but that's not enough. you have got to be on the team. leadership in the florida house opposed me. we were able to get it done now we have integrated effort.
1:11 am
numbers are going end up being much higher than 800. we will have update on that tomorrow. and so those are the types of numbers you need to really be able to put a dent in what biden did. i mean, biden let in millions and millions. and there were already millions and millions of illegal aliens. you got to get those numbers up. so, we're proud of doing that we're the only state that's doing it that level. however, we're ready to do more. we want dhs to prove some of our plans. we have the best emergency response and problem-solving units in the country. i can set up at a moment's notice within 72 hours 10,000 beds, you know, for illegals so they can be process and deported we can run flights to el salvador, wherever they need to so we're doing a lot. we are doing more than any other state. but we could do a lot more. and so we are working with dhs. and if they give us the approval on that. you will see those numbers go up even more.
1:12 am
>> laura: is it money, some type of official green light? what is it? >> green light. we have been deputized our state agencies and a lot of our local to exercise immigration enforcement authority. when biden was president if our highway patrol pulled over illegal. they would call ice, ice wouldn't come get them. we weren't allowed to do anything beyond that in terms of immigration enforcement. now we are deputized under president trump's administration. our guys can just take them and get them into processing for deportation. >> laura: i'm confused. what can't you do? spendingly, if we are going to launch a unilateral operation we need dhs blessing. we will go in, won't need dhs to be there. we will go in -- we have tens of thousands of illegals in florida that are on our -- already on deportation orders.
1:13 am
so you hear all this about due process. they have already been processed and ordered to be removed. we can go in and get those. i think what we can do is provide more manpower, more space. and then we even have the ability to process. but we need that to be blessed we need that to be in tandem. get that done. talk about those numbers 800 to 1,000 in a sweep. those numbers will go up dramatically more in florida. if red states, just the red states did even a fraction of what we're doing in florida, you would see those numbers go up across the country in a way that would really be meaningful. >> laura: are you not getting your calls returned? you have a great relationship with all these guy kristi noem and donald trump? >> couple things, biden disseminated the agency they are working to stand things back up. they probably need more financial support.
1:14 am
i personally talked to tom homan about our capabilities and we want to do. we have put our national guard in. they did request that. so we got our national guard helping them on things as well. so, part of it is they have lot of stuff they have to do given what biden left them. we are ready i know they have seen some of the plans that we have offered. we are going to finish up this tidal wave and hopefully take it to the next level after that. >> laura: the tidal wave has to turn into a tsunami of illegals being moved out of the country. i think we have governors in every state who would be willing to do more. and this is something new. i didn't know about what was happening on this front. but i'm sure it's going to be cleared and the way it will be cleared to get this done. governor, thank you very much for telling us about this. and we appreciate it. all right. ahead, desperate democrats are turning to group therapy sessions, i kid you not. the details, n
