- you give eye exams. - i give... fresh starts. better vision, healthy eyes... everybody wants that. - “hero doc saves vision!” - well, i- “hero owl saves money!” use your vision insurance for exams, glasses, and contacts - all at america's best. >> this is a breaking news hour. i want you to take a look now. you can barely see it, but there are hundreds of people in the rose garden. if they ever pull out the shot -- which we don't have control over -- you'll see it.
9:01 am
the president is about to hold a national day of prayer. a beautiful 74th one. we are inching our way up to 75. it's a beautiful occasion, and always is traditionally very special. a time of faith with a president who knows what that's all about, who has talked about it since the attempts on his life last year. a wonderful way to start off some of the messaging, perhaps come out of the white house today with a day of prayer. we don't know if he would touch on the breaking news that has been developing over the last hour. remember, i had on spokesperson from the state department tammy bruce. we were talking about the development of the national security advisor michael waltz out of the trump administration. that happened last hour. we know they inadvertently added a reporter to a signal chat with top trump officials, and they were talking about a u.s. military strike on rebels in yemen.
9:02 am
one thing the spokesperson, tammy bruce and i, talked about last hour, is that that overshadowed a very successful mission directed by president trump. it was enveloped in the how good are the controls over there with the national security advisor? inadvertently got added to the signal app chat. portals has been said, that sort of thing. he became a scandal, so to speak, and then quieted down. he realized the mission was complete and was done well, but apparently, there was more to it and could be more coming. that is what fox news sources are saying. walz at another advisor will not be the only one. alex wong also gone today. the president may start by speaking about that, or he makes it we start this event, but we are all over it when it begins. we understand the president may because -- i should mention, this was set to start around the time of the breaking news around
9:03 am
the national security advisor michael waltz entering the trump administration. that has potentially delayed the timing of this. they didn't have anyone coming into the scene until about 30 minutes or so ago. there are quite a few people in the rose garden. this has been planned. it's an annual event. if he starts with those remarks, it was sort of makes sense. i can tell you from our reporting, jennifer griffin and others on our team, that the president has been in conversations with the house speaker, mike johnson, who i believe is at this event today. the moment it starts and we see president trump, we will go to him. also, new details about the anti-israel colombian protester who was just released from ice detention by a federal judge. liberals are going wild over this. the department of justice is appealing they are released on bail. he claims to be a peaceful protester born in the west bank before moving to the united states in 2014. now, we are learning about his previous encounter with the fbi,
9:04 am
where he was questioned about allegedly disturbing statements about jewish people. this is "outnumbered." a lot of breaking news this hour. will get to all of it. my cohosts kayleigh mcenany and emily compagno. joining us today, kennedy, and guy benson is here. just moments after he was released yesterday, they had this message for preside president trump. >> i am saying it in clear and loud. to president trump, and his cabinet, i am not afraid of you. [cheers and applause] >> however, according to court documents presented by the trump administration, he was previously reported to the fbi for a conversation he allegedly
9:05 am
had with a gun store owner in 2015. the owner told police they had "considerable firearm experience, and use it to build modified 9 millimeters submachine guns to kill jews while he was in palestine." all that is a quote. also, had another conversation with a gun enthusiast at a museum, allegedly saying "i like to kill jews," end quotes. despite those activations, left-wing politicians like bernie sanders pick his side. >> i am delighted that the dell nike has been released from immigration detention in vermont. expressing a political opinion about the war in gaza is not a crime. in america, you should not be put in a jail cell for exercising their first amendment rights. >> a lot of other democrats support them as well. the president of the united states, the white house
9:06 am
on national day of prayer. he is walking up to that big crowd. let's watch together. [applause] >> president trump: good morning. this is a beautiful day. could not have asked for more beautiful day than this. may be, that means something. that brings us a little luck. honor to welcome you to the special place, the white house, to celebrate the annual national day of prayer. we are doing it up big. this is the first time they've done it this way, and you deserve it. we all deserve the white house. the white house is a special. we are bringing back religion in our country and bringing it back quickly and strongly. [cheers and applause] for america to be great nation, we must always be one nation under god, a phrase they would like to get rid of throughout the left. i don't think we're going to let
9:07 am
them get rid of that. we are not letting them get rid of that. i want to think a man of incredible faith who is with us, speaker mike johnson, for being here. [applause] he has done an incredible job. thank you, mike, very much for working very hard on a great, big beautiful bill. we are trying to come up with a name. i said "why don't we just call it the great big beautiful bill?" [laughter] that's what everyone... so we are probably going to do that. everyone knows what it means. later today, i will be going to the university of alabama to deliver the keynote commencement address to a record crowd. i guess they have seven ceremonies. they said "if you are doing it, we are putting them all together." i said "that's a lot of people." is the first time they've done that. i will give it a shot. i hope we can entertain. i will give it a shot.
9:08 am
before we begin, i want to let you know what i was just doing. in a really great meeting with speaker johnson, and majority leader majority leader steve scalise, chairman brett guthrie who is a fantastic guy, and chairman smith. everybody knows chairman smith. he is the most knowledgeable person on taxes and finances there is. to be updated on the progress of the one big beautiful bill. we love that bill. i won't -- if it doesn't past, neither will you. if it doesn't pass, your taxes will go up 68%. this is a religious ceremony to me, but that's part of the religion. if your taxes go up 68%, you might give up your religion. [laughter] you might have no choice. you would be working too hard to try and make it. that the democrats. that's what they will give you to vote against it -- is not
9:09 am
even believable. it's called trump derangement syndrome. honestly, everything in there is good for democrats, republicans, and everybody else. these will be the biggest tax cuts in american history, with 100% expensing, which is something that people cannot believe they get. did it in the last one and we had the most successful economy and my first four years that we have ever had in the history of our country, and expensing was one of the things that lead to that. it's 100% expensing for companies investing in america, and increasing take-home pay the typical family by thousands of dollars a year. to show you how middle income this is, there will be no tax on tips, no tax on overtime, no tax for the great seniors in social security. you have no tax on social security for a great
9:10 am
seniors. and we have full deduction for interest if you buy a car made in america, you get an interest rate deduction. that's going to be big. [applause] it's got to be made in america. if it's not made in america, we don't care if you buy it or not, but if it is, we want you to buy it. we make the best cars anyway. things are moving along really well. i just wanted to say the final details are coming together rapidly. i think we are right on schedule, and i want to thank you and this group and all of the people over there right now. they are working on the bill. it will be the biggest bill ever passed in the history of our congress, our senate. [applause] that's a big achievement. one of the things that's very important, we will be saving medicaid for americans in need. we will not let the democrats destroy it. all the waste, fraud, and abuse that they seem to love. they will decimate medicaid if
9:11 am
they get the chance. we are not going to give them that chance. just remember, we will be saving medicaid and strengthening -- it will be very strengthened. they are going to decimate it. we can't let it happen. very simply, to finish that, we will make america rich and healthy again. why don't we say rich, healthy, and religious again? should i add that for this group? i did, patrick. thanks as well to the great people that are here. pete hegseth, who is doing a fantastic job. pete, thank you. marco rubio, unbelievable. unbelievable. when i have a problem, i call up marco, he gets it solved. he gets it solved. scott bessent's. a very easy job now, he is negotiating with about 200 countries. can you handle it? do you get to sleep? he's got phone calls coming in,
9:12 am
i was with them before -- like 30 phone calls. they are all calling. scott turner, who is doing wonderful work. recommendation of ben. when ben recommends you, i have no choice, right? but you are doing great. attorney general pam bondi. she is slightly busy. she is on the busy side with all of -- and you have a big assortment of everything. she has every form of crime known to mankind and womankind. you always have to say that as a politician. she is doing incredible work. director of national intelligence tulsi gabbard. thank you. good job. amend -- i can't talk about this person because he goes undercover most of the time. his whole life is undercover. he is a handsome guy. if i was casting a movie for the cia, i would put this guy in it.
9:13 am
director of the cia john ratcliffe. where is he? see, he is undercover. he is here but he is undercover. he is perfect. u.s. trade representative jamieson greer, another busy one. good. and another one negotiating along with scott and jamison. he doesn't want to talk about it. he has no life. howard lutnick, commerce. he has no life. and, a very special person, friend of mine for a long time and is doing an unbelievable job in small business, which is really big business. when you add up all that small business, it's probably the biggest bank in the world, but she is really capable and doing a fantastic job. working with linda mcmahon on the student loans, getting them paid up. administrator kelly loeffler.
9:14 am
thank you very much. we are also joined by some special senators. roger marshall. you are a great guy. whenever i have a problem, he calls "sir, don't worry about it." it's easy for you to say, roger. he always is so good. he is a good man. james lankford. james, i saw you on television. you were fantastic on tele television. james was defending me on television, something that's not easy to do, but he did a good job. thank you, james. markwayne mullin. where are you? don't ever fight markwayne. thank you. don't ever fight him. he was a fighter. cindy hyde-smith is here. hi. and -- thank you. you are doing great. i looked at your numbers. you are very popular. you don't need me to campaign with you this year.
9:15 am
isn't that good? representatives mark harris, mary miller, gary palmer, marjorie taylor greene, robert aderholt, jason smith, chris smith, tim walberg, and josh reynold team and josh -- thank you all for being here. we have some others, but i can't see them. i just can't see them, some going to get myself in trouble. they will never vote for me again. that's the problem. hi, mary. but mary will. thank you also to the senior advisor, paula white, who has been incredible. right from the beginning. and we had like a 94% poll number. i think paula got it more than i got it. "i'm telling you, he is a good person." "we don't like him." "i'm telling you, he's on more f
9:16 am
for us than anybody." got to about 94%. my friends couldn't believe that. you have done a great job. jenny has done an unbelievable job. they work right out of the white house. that has never been done before. no other president allowed that they say separation -- [applause] they say separation between church and state, they told me. i said all right, let's forget about that for one time. separation, i don't know. is that a good or bad thing? i don't know. whether there is separation or not, you are in the white house where you should be, and you are representing our country. we are bringing religion back to our country. it's a big deal. i want to say hello, john the come of the most talented man standing here today. he is one of the most successful
9:17 am
artists. his song is one of the most favored by people of religion. that i can tell you. you have done a great job. he is the husband of paula white, but he is successful. that's tough to live with, but not really. you have an incredible wife that you are proud of. that is good. i just gave her a kiss. that's the first time -- kissed in years. [laughter] i'm only kidding. great job. the person that has been with me may be the longest, and she has been an incredible person. never asks for anything, never once favors or "could i use your helicopter to get here or there." lv to was she here? [applause] she was here before it was popular. before i had record numbers with the black vote. she was here long before.
9:18 am
she was here at the very beginning when we were pulling on the low side with the black population. now we are setting records with the black population. we had criminal justice reform done. we have got black colleges and universities. it is a very interesting story. for 2-3 years, i would see these great people, like 50 of them or maybe a little bit more that would come up to washington, looking for money for historically black colleges and universities. they'd come up, and the first time was okay. that was it. the next year, they came up, and i said "why are you up here? we took care of you?" they said "they make us come up every year." you've got to be kidding. we took care of them. we got them long term 10-year financing, more money than they were asking for. i think i'm the most popular
9:19 am
with those 50 people. to like me. they were forced to come out. this is for 40 years. every year, they would come up. some of them became friends of mine, because they would come up looking for money all the time. i would say "we have to get you some long-term money." i said "the only bad thing is is i will probably never see you again, largely --" i see a couple of them here. largely that happens. i took care of them but they never had to come up. it was a big thing. we talked about it last night on television. today as the american people turned to god and prayer, we continue a tradition older them our independence itself. nearly 250 years ago on june 12th, 1775, the continental congress appointed a day of fasting and prayer so americans fighting for the liberty could seek the help of the almighty. when you look at that june 12th,
9:20 am
1775. we have a very, very special day coming up. we have a lot of them during this term. interinterestingly, none of the- had a rigged election. had the election not been rigged, i would've been gone. the radical left would have said "we got rid of him finally." but no, now they have me for another four years. we talk about that. [applause] and in the other four years, i sort of said "i've got the olympics and the world cup to come in." and i said the sad part is it's got to be in what would be the third term. none of it came during what would be the more normal way of doing it, like counting the proper votes, et cetera. i wouldn't have been president. but now, we end up with four years later, and we have the 250 year anniversary.
9:21 am
that will be june 12th, 250 years. you have flag day. there is something on flag day. you have 250 years in this term. you have the olympics in this term. the limbic's going to los angeles. and, we have the world cup. i was very instrumental in all three of them in. on other president refused to call -- they need for the olympics and world cup. they needed the support of the president. that particular president refused to talk to them. i don't know why, but he didn't want to talk, so they said "could you talk?" i talked them into it. this will be four years of celebration, so get ready. we are always going to bring god with us to the celebrations. [applause] we are not going to forget about god. in a letter to wife, abigail, john adams wrote of his first
9:22 am
national day of prayer. "millions will be upon their knees at once before their great creator, imploring his forgiveness and blessing and asking for his favor on the american cause." beautiful. today, more than two and a half centuries later, in the heart of a free and proud america, we rejoice that god answered those prayers. i think god answered other prayers. he has put in an administration to run this country that's going to make you proud again. it's going to make you believe, and believe more again. we are going to have a country that's very strong. we are already, and just 100 days, respected all over the world. every leader is calling wanting to have a meeting, appointments. they weren't calling so much the last few years. they had no respect for our country. our country was doing very poorly. as you know, millions of people pouring into our borders from
9:23 am
jails, mental institutions. gang members. terrible situation. yesterday -- i don't know if kristi noem is here or tom homan, but yesterday, we had the lowest safest border in history. 99.999. in other words, three people got in. three. in the previous, it was hundreds of thousands of people coming in. we had three people. we haven't locked down, but we are allowing people in, but they have to come in legally. it's a big thing. i think it's a very big thing. it's appropriate that here we are, so many great things are happening, and we won't let countries rip us off anymore. a lot of people like to talk about tariffs. tariffs is what they were doing for us. you want to defend that. they are beautiful for us if you can use them, get away with using them. it will make us very rich. we will be paying off debt,
9:24 am
lowering your taxes substantially, because so much money will be taken and that we will be able to lower your taxes even be on the tax cut you will be getting, hopefully, with the big beautiful bill. it's 11 of those things where i think it's just a -- is one of those things where i think it's just a really amazing time. the spirit in this country is greater than i have seen. it on november 5th when we won every swing state. we won the popular vote by millions. we won every district. think of this, the districts, it was 2,750 versus 505. we got 312 electoral votes. everyone said "maybe he can get to 70." we got 312. it was a great election. it has just revitalized the country. i think i can say one other thing that is, to me, really incredible. if you remember six months ago,
9:25 am
prior to the election, we were unable to get people to join our military. we had a waiting list that was a mile long of empty spaces. we couldn't get anybody to join. we didn't know what to do. i was in the administration, but they didn't know what to do. it was embarrassing to them, frankly, and it should be. that included police and firemen. you couldn't get anybody to join anything having to do with any of the military groups, any of the law enforcement groups, first responder groups. you couldn't get anybody to join. as of yesterday, we had the largest number of recruits in our country. think of that. the army, navy, air force. we have a waiting list. we are picking the ones we want.
9:26 am
it's been amazing. hearing that people weren't signing up. that includes our police force. our police forces were really starving for people. this includes our police forces. they are all full up and in great shape. it's amazing. mostly, they have spirit. they love our country again. making our country greater than ever before. i created a historic white house faith office in the west wing. that will be in office doing well already. this is what we want to defend and represent, people of all faiths and their religious freedoms at home and abroad. is probably double the action in the white house.
9:27 am
it's been beautiful to watch. the white house can handle it. this important office will work to protect vulnerable women and children, strengthen the american family, promote the dignity of work, choice, education. and people that are in trouble can come in and take care of them. sometimes, they will send to a doctor. sometimes -- others in the office. they are doing an amazing job. i don't think this has ever happened before. people of faith have never been allowed in the white house. we will probably be suit tomorrow because they will say church, separation of church and state. you can't do that. pam will win that suit. she ultimately wins them. sometimes, they get a judge that's not so good, but she ultimately wins. that's what it's all about. i pardoned americans of faith in
9:28 am
peaceful protest. we reinstated service members thrown out of the military over religious objections to bidens vaccine mandate. [applause] we did a vaccine, but -- can't do that. i signed an executive order to combat anti-semitism. we have taken all -- you know what, sit down please. i didn't even know you were standing. what an honor that you stood so long. wow. that is a great honor. thank you. i know if biden were up here, you would have been seated. you might have never stood up. no, that's a great honor. i didn't realize it. i signed an executive order to combat anti-semitism. that is a big thing. [applause] a big thing. and, i set up a doj task force, which is really a big thing.
9:29 am
you will be involved in it to eradicate anti-christian bias. you have not heard that. there is anti-christian bias also. in a few moments, i will be signing an executive order creating a presidential commission on religious liberty, which is really why we are here more than any other reason. many of the new commissioners are here, including people that have been with me from the beginning. the chairman is texas lieutenant governor dan patrick, whose idea this was. what a great guy. what a great political person. he is an amazing politician. thank you very much. as well as dr. ben carson. i don't have to say much about them. i don't have to say much.
9:30 am
he was campaigning against me originally appeared are you sure you don't mind? he was campaigning. he was very effective. he looked at me about 3-4 debates in. i said "what do you mean to make your campaigning, don't say that." he said "you know you are going to win. nobody is going to be able to be you." i asked why and he said "god is with you." [applause] then he said it once again in the church. remember that? he pulled me over and said "remember what i told you: god is with you." we went on to win three times. we won the first time, we did
9:31 am
great the second time, won the second time, everybody knows it. but it was too big to rig the third time. i want to thank ben who has been with me from the beginning. is an amazing person. you gave us a great recommendation. this young gentleman who is doing a fantastic job. thank you very much. really good. where is dr. phil? you are so big. khmer, fill. come here. this guy. [applause] he wanted to do an interview. and buddy nelson, right? said " -- everybody knows him, right? he talked about things that nobody ever asks me. a lot of people watched it.
9:32 am
i was a little surprised. he's got his own network. he has become seriously rich. he said "i will put it on this," it's his network. i said -- i did it as a favor for him but it turned out to be a favor for me. millions and millions of people watched it. would you like to say a few words or are you shy? >> no, i will speak. mr. president, i cannot tell you -- first off, how proud i am to see religion coming back to the white house. god bless you for doing this, and let me tell you, it's not a popular thing to do in america right now. i have said to president trump with no cameras around, nobody watching, and i'm telling you: this is a man of deep faith,
9:33 am
deep conviction. [cheers and applause] this is a man that wants this country to have a heart and religion. god bless america for giving us president donald trump. when nobody's listening or looking, this man cares about every single person in america independent of race, color, creed, whatever. i am proud to call him my president. god bless you, mr. president. god bless you. [applause] don't be so surprised when millions of people watch my interviews. [laughter] >> president trump: i am very impressed. >> with you, it's tens of millions. you are 10x whenever i talk to you. [applause] and thank you for letting me be on this commission. >> president trump: i asked him "please be careful, fill. we don't want you falling."
9:34 am
when you fall, it doesn't work. that has been proven. that's been proven. but he doesn't fall. he doesn't know how to fall. i also want to look at bishop robert baron, who has been so great. bishop, thank you very much. thank you very much. thank you. [applause] great job. pastor paula white, if you would stand up please. thank you. thank you. rabbi, mayor. how are you? thank you very much. good job. kelly shackleford. nice seeing you, kelly. ryan anderson. thank you. these are great people. carrie bowler. hi. attorney general pam bondi.
9:35 am
this is a star. thanks, pam. secretary scott turner. thank you. as well as a man -- he has an excuse. cardinal dolan who is in rome. i just left rome. a beautiful service. he is in rome having to vote for the next -- i got upset. "you can't do that. this is much more important." he was actually torn, if you want to know the truth, which is pretty good. he is on the council. he is a great guy and i have known him for a long time. i would like to ask, if i might, to have dan patrick, one of the most highly respected men in politics. we worked on something having to do with your governor. we work on something having to do with school choice. we knocked it over the fences. that's the ultimate school
9:36 am
choice in texas. got it over the line easily as it turned out, so please come up and speak. thank you. >> thank you, mr. president. for making this happen. mr. president, thank you for establishing what i think will be one of the most important presidential commissions in history. it will be one of your great legacies, of which you will have many. we have, in this country, we have a magnificent inheritance of religious liberty. every believer today, no matter your faith, has a claim to that inheritance. we were a nation birthed by prayer, founded on the judeo-christian ethic to ensure that people could worship as they wished without interference from government.
9:37 am
that's no longer the case. the last administration attacked people of faith for four years. there is a saying that no one should get bet between the doctr and the patient. i think we would say that no one should get between god and a believer. [applause] between don and those seeking him. they are alone. the only person they can turn to, someone who is not listening. they can turn to god. he is their refuge, their wellspring of hope. every level of government or the private sector. cannot -- that is all right. that is all right. given us an incredible committee. i'm a little overwhelmed. i feel like a pair of brown shoes in a room full of tuxedos. these are high-caliber, for most
9:38 am
faith leaders, scholars. on this day, mr. president, you are restoring the hopes and prayers of millions upon millions of believers in all faiths. there has never been a president who has invoked the name of jesus more than you. there has never been a president who says "yes, i love jesus but i love people of all faiths," as dr. phil said. you love every american and are showing that today. i'm proud to represent you as chair, proud to have ben carson as her vice chair. we will serve you, people, and god. thank you, mr. president. [applause] >> thank you very much >> president trump: thank you very much. came to me with this idea,
9:39 am
multiple people called. we will be adding some incredible names, some of the people that are here that have been with me from the beginning periods on the standing right over there. my friends, my pastors, ministers and rabbis. will be largely when they can, using the white house. there's plenty of room. we will be using the white house to have some of your meetings. it's a real honor to have you, dan periods are respected for so long. as we defend religious freedom in america, we are also standing up against religious persecution around the world. with us today are the parents of edan alexander, the last living american held hostage by hamas. [applause] thank you. thank you. and we don't know how he's doing, really. we don't know. we think we know, and hopefully positive. two months ago, we were pretty
9:40 am
sure it looked like he was getting out, but they have toughened up a little bit. it's a terrible thing. a new jersey boy, he moved to israel in 2022, was taken hostage on the vicious october 7th attack. on jewish people. now, i will tell you that as an attack that would've never happened. the money was given by iran to hamas. around had no money when out -- iran had no money when i was president. they were busted. they were not giving it to hamas, hezbollah, to anybody. they didn't have money. they were just about bust. put sanctions on last night, any oil anyone takes from iran is not allowed to do business with the united states. that's what i did last time.
9:41 am
drove them into a bad state. they were ready to make a deal, except for the election didn't turn out the way it should have. it was a rigged election. we might as well say it. it was totally rigged. it was disgraceful. i think it's going to go down as one of the biggest -- your son would be home. he wouldn't of had october 7th. he wouldn't have had the ukraine/russian horror show. 5,000 young russians, mostly russians and ukrainian soldiers are being killed every single week. 5,000 a week. think of those parents. they are from russia, from ukraine. other people, but for the most part. that would've never happened. it was never going to happen. no chance of it happening. putin and i talked all the time. i told him it was going to happen. through gross incompetence, it did take place, it's a horrible thing. you wouldn't have had inflation. think of it. you wouldn't have had inflation.
9:42 am
you wouldn't have had the horror show of afghanistan, which is i think what gave putin the resolve to go in and do what he did. we lost 13 soldiers. 32 were horribly injured. nobody ever talks about that. the legs, the arm, the face. horribly injured. that would've never happened. not even possible to have happened. i was the one that got it down to the 5,000. the big air force base, which is one hour away from where china makes -- they do. they make wouldn't all make nuclear missiles one hour away. and i said "you can't give it up." they did. right now china occupies it. so sad, so crazy. one of the biggest airbases in the world, among the strongest and longest runways in the world. one hour away from where china makes its nuclear missiles. it would be great to have, but
9:43 am
they ran out of their like nobody can believe. i think putin saw that and said "this is a great time --" it was the apple of his i've. i could see that. i talked to him for hours. i said "don't even think about it." and he wouldn't have. i saw that as the reason. he gained additional courage, went in. cannot imagine your pain. i just can't. we are all alongside of you. we stand by you. we are going to do everything possible in very short period of time. as you know, things are heating up. i have gotten a lot of hostages out. and a lot of them are out. they want to do it as slowly as possible.
9:44 am
it's horrible, but we are working hard to save your son. we have news coming up, both good and bad. i have many parents seeing me. i was with ten hostages. they came about three weeks ago -- to the oval office, right here. they said to me -- just terrible. interestingly, because you see that there's always some heart and somebody. "so you have seen hundreds of hamas, right" you might yes. they didn't really live in a tunnel. they lived in a pipe. that was this big. they could barely breathe. 305 days. i got them out. through very tough, it was very tough, the whole thing. did you ever see any love or kindness. did any of these people that
9:45 am
were guarding you, the hamas people, look at you and say "don't worry, you will be all right?" or did they ever say "i will sneak you a little extra bread or something?" did they ever give you any hope? he says not one. so not one person that you. anybody -- a smack on the face. they did not do that. there was not one person out of hundreds that said "i'm going to sneak you a little bread. going to make sure you get home safely." not one. that amazed me. in some really bad situations, you it would have some people like that, but not one. they were telling the truth. they were telling the truth. when i talk to them about the way they suffered, it was
9:46 am
incredible. i would say four or five look to solid abnormal, and for a five look like they had been through hell. i looked at them and said i can't imagine what you've gone through. i asked them a question, one was wearing 59. and i said "what does that represent?" that's how many are left. i said all right, we will get them out. are they all living? 24 are living. only 24. 24 of the 59 are living. they knew, because they had just gotten out. the others were dead. i spoke to the parents of the others. as much as you want your beautiful boy out, they want their beautiful boy, for the most part, as you know young boys for the most part -- but they want them out so badly. i said is he okay?
9:47 am
no, he is dead, but they want them out so badly, almost as much as if he were alive. it was an amazingly sad thing to see. the level of love for the children. they didn't even view them as dead. they need to the body of their son, and they knew they were dead, but think about that. out of 59, you had 24 that were living, and now we understand it's not even that number. the young people don't die. they are very resilient. you don't have young people dying. young people are killed. old people die. they can't take it, they couldn't breathe in some cases, a pipe closed at both ends. if you are claustrophobic, it's a big problem. and many people are claustrophobic. young people live, old people die, but these were young people who are dying, so you know what

took place. as we bow our heads this beautiful day in the rose garden on the national day of prayer, we once again trust our lives to our liberties, our happiness, to the hands of the creator who gave them to us and who loves us where you are and how. so beautiful. it is nice. here you are, this unbelievable setting. i think there is no setting like it in the world. when you add up the importance -- i take people into the oval office. the biggest people, foreign leaders, princes, kings, queens, presidents, prime ministers. a couple of dictators, i guess. they don't say that. they say "i'm a prime minister or president," and i say "no, you're a dictator." but i bring them into the oval office. they just want a look. can't believe. it's the most important. they all have beautiful offices. they are, in some cases, the wealthiest in the world come in
9:49 am
some cases the most powerful. right outside of the oval oval office. in one way, you are lucky, in another way you are fighting for people you know are not so fortunate right now, because people like your beautiful son. people that are being really tortured because of the level of anger and mean-this firm off. you know what they say, the lines and the tigers aren't nearly as vicious as the human. they only kill for food. they kill for food. the human being kills for sp sports. they try and destroy people, killing or otherwise for sport. we got some bad ones out there, really bad ones.
9:50 am
we have some bad ones. instead of years later -- and it should've never happened. october 7th, remember, would have never happened. as we bow our heads on this beautiful day, once again, we have to trust our god. where we are going, what we are doing. every inch of our life. continuing to hear our prayers, to guide our steps, to build up our beloved nation to even greater heights. we are in the process of doing some great things. i get criticized no matter what. i go forward, because everyone knows we are right. we are doing it bigger and better. that's the only thing.
9:51 am
would like to ask our faith leaders, including the ones that will be faith leaders on the council, to come up, if you will. the ministers. rabbis. please come up. imams, who i got to know in michigan. said "we don't want to die." won the state of michigan speaker -- and same people. get up here, ralph. these are people that have been unbelievable supporters of what we are doing and doing it right. i want to start by asking -- to

lead us in prayer. each person is going to say a few words and a prayer. thank you. >> thank you, president trump. you are truly the greatest champion of faith we have ever had. what a sacred and historic moment. to stand in the rose garden and the people's house. president trump has graciously welcomed us in. surrounded by faith and government. to honor what anchors us all. that is prayer. we understand the power prayer. today is not about symbolism. we believe in this power prayer, peace in the storm. clarity and chaos. unity and division, strength and weakness. prayer is not a religious act:

it's a national necessity. river to president trump. white house faith office. i do carry a great responsibility, to ensure that the voice of faith is not only heard but also honored at the highest levels of government. under president donald trump's leadership, faith has not been pushed aside. it's been brought back to where it always belongs, and that is center. [applause] we will be here forever. over 1,000 faith leaders have come into the white house. we have had many briefings, listening sections, working sessions. not here for collaboration, creating and crafting policy, sharing their hearts. the president help of faye's office, as he said in the

american people -- executive orders were signed and the weapons they stationed dominic weaponization. including parents, traditional catholics that were spied on by the fbi. pro-life advocates, protections were restored for service members and health care workers. stood firm for their beliefs. my ipad broke. >> it promised and delivered on just how this would be in the faith space today. when the president talked about answered prayers, that was amazing. before we leave you on "outnumbered," we want to talk about what we have seen. we know there is a big prayer coming up so we want to take a quick moment while leaders speak before they pray. kayleigh, nothing about this surprises us. this is an annual event. >> huge day for people of faith across the country. this is an historic one.

the news out of this is we have not heard about mike waltz leaving his post. widely reported on the network and elsewhere. late to these remarks. everyone is waiting for that first statements. mike waltz, a powerful voice in the former policy world. there was obviously a huge mistake. the reasoning and rationale of him stepping down. i would just push a name forward that would be good for his replacement, and that's keith kellogg, semiwork with, someone who is a former policy advisor to mike pence, someone who is now in the administration and someone who i know on a visceral level understands trumps view of the world, and understands how to fit into that view of the world. there is a lot of infighting between j.d. vance and the more hawkish wing. >> that's not true. >> mike waltz represented a different view. he was more of a hawkish view.
9:57 am
others were maybe more lockstep with trumps foreign policy. >> so we are moving the ball forward. and we knew after signal gates, as it has been called, the president really was not given enough credit for that mission going well. the signal gates scandal stepped on that. there is an opportunity to talk about -- and in all that, whose name do you see bubbling up to take mike waltz but if place? >> there were rumors about steve witkoff. i like kayleigh's idea. you are right. i think there was an operational security problem and political problem overshadowing the mission itself. >> which was and very good. >> and ongoing in a lot of ways. i think what's interesting about the news as it's been widely reported is this would represent accountability. i'm a fan of his, but this was a gigantic screwup, especially adding in that journalist onto the chat. we did not see in the previous

administration anyone fired ever for anything. i think even admirers of waltz would've -- to see him stay on, have to acknowledge that it's a big mistake and now it appears he is on his way out. i can't imagine those are not related. >> i want to ask our team, and just tell me, i see they pulled into a different position. when the large prayer starts, we will go back. mle. >> i think what is so poignant about today's national day of prayer ceremony in the rose garden is the universality of those represented behind the president. at the landscape of the hostage discussion, and him bringing up edan alexander, the horrendous, horrific conditions he was held in, the animalistic way hamas and their proxies view those of faith, those of jewish faith, those of judeo-christian faith. it reminds us that in this administration, we have one that has protected freedom in this country, and we will fight for religious freedom, the
9:59 am
protection of our allies and religious freedom in other countries. >> at one point, president trump said "god has answered prayers, put in administration in place that will make you proud." >> i think he is also hoping for prayers from above and beyond throughout washington in the country that the big beautiful bill passes. that will be his next big fight if he gets it passed. it will be marquee legislation that will move his agenda for. it might take divine intervention, considering how tight it is in congress. >> and reportedly how different the senate and the house have approached this. from some sources of mine in particular and fox news, feel they can get there. house is much more divided. obviously pickets a bigger body so you can understand that. he was with house speaker micah johnson moments before this gathering kicked off during this hour, which is also interesting. i would imagine they would've talked about the mike waltz situation, but also tax cuts.
10:00 am
he delivered a sum of what he wants to do in the next 100 days during his comments at the national day of prayer. >> i think he would like to shift the conversation from tariffs to taxes. >> we have been watching this, and wanted to bring you as much as we could. they do have a large prayer on the day is that his plans to come up. we thank everybody for being with us for this hour of "outnumbered." as always, god bless america, a point president trump said it -- one nation under god we must always be. lets go live now to "america repo >> john: national security council national security a advisor mike waltz and his ousted from the department. >> good to see you mentor. very bright, i'm aishah hasnie in for
