lawyers when the many you can la lot of information about this case. ultimately yes is not great to have stuff leaked but they are going to be able to impanel a partial jury is not as of the trial's not going to take place it might take a little bit longer. i think the bigger concern is people behind the scenes are blabbing. i think ultimately they will be able to get an impartial jury it will be water on the bridge at some point. mike: evidence the state wants to include in the kohberger trial his purchase histories, his phone logs, kohberger term paper regarding crime scenes and surveillance video from near the crime scene and kohberger's home. something pretty standard stuff what are your thoughts? >> is meant a lot made of his searches into people like ted bundy and other serial killers as are all tempered by he is a criminology phd student. so of course are things like that there'll be things that can

be explained probably at a very reasonable fashion. i am a true crime lab if you look at my phone you might think i was planning something sinister. [laughter] i think all of those in pepe10 with a grain of salt. at the end of the day there's a lot of evidence that points to him and so his attorneys are honestly trying to do everything they can. especially given the stakes here it's definitely the case to try to ultimately get a good outcome for him and i am not sure that's possible. mike: let's take a look at the karen read read trial court is set to resume again tomorrow morning. what are your key takeaways in that case? my key take away is the medical examiner said she could not determine the manner of death if i'm the defense attorneys, she did not say it was a homicide she also did not has an accident is undetermined if i'm a defense attorney when the closing comes i'm beating that into the heads of the juries the states own witness cannot determine whether

this was a homicide rate that is reasonable doubt right there by the absence of evidence is reasonable doubt. i think that was a really important point for the defendant especially considering she made this determination in light of what the actual injuries were not in a vacuum. look at what the injuries were she could not determine that was a homicide i think that was a pal for point for the defense. mike: 10 seconds to but that means she could get off in this case questioned she could shed a hung jury the first time. maybe there's going to another a hung jury it will not be an acquittal but the state has to ask itself do we want to go through this again? mike: urinalysis is always fascinating thank you for your time. >> thanks mike. mike: pope pope leo xiv of formal search of his papacy within inaugural mass in front of st. peter's basilica. his message to the world, next.
