of what he did. and reminds me of the october 7th attitude when you have the killers, the assassins who go over the border into the kibbutz and calling back to their families proud that they're chopping off the heads of babies and shooting people in cold blood and torturing them to death and then you have this guy thinking is he going to be a hero because he does it for gaza, for palestine. that is the chant we hear on college campuses that, is the chant we hear in so many cities london around the country around the world. we caught up to the young lady who had the courage to not realizing talk to the shooter tell the story and tape a lot of it. listen to her comments. >> i'm like so do you like this museum? and he is like kind of playing dumb with me. is he like oh, what kind of museum is this? i'm like it's a jewish museum. and he asks do you think that's why they did it? in reference to the gunshots we

not just -- especially for the jewish community but not just for the jewish community. it's a horrible night for the country and for the world. these two young people sarah and yaron came together with a big group that was there last night to talk about ways to work together across the world to help make peace, to bring people together to make connections. this is really -- these are the worst fears of the jewish community coming true, this is an act of pure evil, and what it did was send shock waves through the jewish community around the world. and it's a moment when the world has to stand up and realize that anti-semitism, that when people are chanting for the death of jews, then it's not just chants. we have been saying over and over that ultimately we worry that this turns into violence. and last night sadly that's what we saw. that's what we're all

jewish community, i think this is really a message for all of your viewers that starts with the fact that the jewish community is incredibly strong and resilient, and we're not going to back down. we're not going to stop being proud jews because of these kinds of horrible attacks. sadly, anti-semitism has been around for millennia. and, yes, we have fought against the rise in anti-semitism since october 7th and even before. but we have to -- we have to and we will continue living our lives as proud jews. this weekend, you're right, this weekend on sunday in churches across america. >> ainsley: ted? this is such an important message. i am so sorry to do this but we're being told that speaker johnson is speaking right now. the big, beautiful bill just passed. stand by. >> and make government work more efficiently and effectively for all americans. house democrats voted against all of that everything that i

just said they voted the opposite. clearly proves they actually -- they must want the largest tax increase in u.s. history on the american citizens. they must want own borders. they have proven that over and over. they must -- they must want medicaid for illegal immigrants. we look forward to the senate's timely consideration of this once in a generation legislation. we stand ready to continue our work together to deliver on the one, big beautiful bill as the president trump named it himself. we are going to send that to his desk. get it there by independence day on july 4th. we are going to celebrate a new golden age in america. thank you for being here. i yield next to our leader steve scalise. >> thank you, mr. speaker. and as the speaker said, it truly is morning in america again. you know, when you think about all of the work that's gone in to putting this bill together. it's one big beautiful bill for a lot of reasons. there are a lot of really important wins for the american

people in this bill. and we had 11 committees come together and meet in hearings, some went on over 24 hours. rules committee went over 20 hours. you had the budget committee lead author of the bill. all of the people that had to come together in our conference and i think a lot of you know we don't all think alike. democrats made it very clear they didn't want to have any part in helping get america back on track again. but we were never deterred. when this bill could have failed 10 times over, we said we were going to get this done and failure is not an option and we meant it. we knew we were fighting for the families who have been struggling for way too long under the failed policies of joe biden and all the democrats who did have control of washington for too long. we watched higher interest rates
4:13 am
and higher inflation and lower wages. and a demise of the american dream that we knew should not be permanent but was only going to turn around if we passed a bill to get america back on track. we knew we had to prevent a massive tracks increase so we but the it in the bill. we knew we needed to secure america's border as president trump ran on all across this country and won the election on. and we put it in this bill. we ran on be and said we would produce more american energy and we put it in this bill. all the things that we knew we needed to do to road out waste, fraud, and abuse in government, focus on those families who were struggling, all of that is in this one, big beautiful bill and yes, now, the house has come together and passed this bill. against all odds, but we're still working on the rest of the process. still goes to the senate, the
4:14 am
senate has a lot of work to do, too. that's why we have been talking to the senate for a long time. but it's their turn to take this bill and move forward. i will tell you, none of this would be possible without the leadership of president trump whoever step of the way not only laid out the vision, ran a campaign on this vision. but every step of the way, too. said whatever you need, let me know. and he was there to help us. our great speaker, mike johnson, who was never deterred, probably hasn't slept in a few days. but never wavered in his commitment to get this done. and this whole team has come together an our whip has never relented and never stopped pushing to get this done. with that, i bring up our great majority whip, tom emmer. [applause] thank you, steve.

on november 5th, the american people rejected the failed policies of the biden-harris administration and overwhelmingly endorsed president trump's america first agenda. using his executive authority, president trump hit the ground running on day one to deliver on the promises he made to the american people. today, house republicans followed suit. our one, big beautiful bill fulfills the mandate for change we were given last november. it allows president trump to continue his successful border security and deportation operations by investing in more border patrol agents and ice officers. funding the continue yeation of the considered wall and equipping our men and women on the front lines with the tools they need to keep us safe. not only will the one big, beautiful bill help to make america. >> lawrence: let's goat aishah live outside the capitol. she will bring down what is inside the big beautiful bill. good morning aishah. >> aishah: good morning to you
4:16 am
guys. what a victory for house speaker mike johnson and president trump. we have not yet heard from him. sort of a scrolling through his truth social waiting to see if he is going to make some remarks about this. it's huge day for both of these men to celebrate. this was his signature piece of legislation. it was not an easy task. we're talking about over 1,000 pages of bill text. there is a lot in here that president trump is very excited about. and they got it done. even though there were some moments there where we weren't sure if they were going to have the votes, they got it done. they were here all night. they are going to be celebrating now. nothing motivates congress more than president trump. and a nice, long holiday weekend like memorial day weekend. they wanted to get out of here. so they will be able to do it. let's talk about what is in this. because it does impact you at home. if you pay taxes, this is a big deal for you. because it makes permanent those trump 2017 tax cuts that means your taxes will not be going up
4:17 am
next year. this impacts more than 60% of americans across the country. a lot of democrats were making a fuss how this was a big payout for the billionaires. i don't think more than 60% of americans are billionaires. so it impacts the middle class, and hardworking folks out there. of course, some signature things from the campaign talked about no taxes on tips. that's in there. no taxes on overtime. that's in there as well. border security, more funding to hire more and more ice agents to continue president trump's deportation policies. they went after waste, fraud, and abuse to try to make up for that loss in revenue when it came to those taxes. a lot of fighting we saw over the past couple of weeks. you heard a lot about satellite. for those folks that live in red states, this is a big deal for blue state folks that pay a lot of money in property taxes. you had a lot of republicans from places like new york, new jersey that were fighting for this. and they were able to raise that
4:18 am
from 10,000 to 40,000. it was a huge compromise in the last couple of hours before this vote. and, of course, as well as raising the debt ceiling to $4 trillion. this was a big deal for treasury secretary scott bessent because he was a little anxious that these guys weren't going to be able to get it done by the time that they needed to before the august recess. that's a big deal for the white house as well. and medicaid, a lot of fighting over medicaid especially for some conservatives from states where they have a lot of constituents on medicaid. they were worried there were going to be massive cuts. but, really republicans wanted to go after illegal immigrants that were using medicaid and able-bodied men that were on medicaid. they wanted to add work requirements and those work requirements now will start in 2026. the huge win for fiscal conservatives. now, they didn't get everything. which is why we saw andy harris, who is the house freedom caucus chair vote present.
4:19 am
and we saw warren davidson and thomas massie vote no on the bill. but pretty much a party line vote today. i have got tell you, i'm a little surprised, maybe you are not, lawrence, that hakeem jeffries, the democratic leader, didn't put up much of a fight on the house floor. they have this tool called the magic minute. you might have heard. this it basically is a tool that affords the opposing party's leader to take up the floor for as long as they want to try to try delay the vote. we saw kevin mccarthy, the former house speaker use this tactic when the democrats are trying to pass the big -- sorry, the build back better bill for president biden a couple years ago. he went on for 8 hours on the house floor. set a record. leader hakeem jeffries really only spoke for about 30 minutes. i just asked him why he didn't hold the floor longer to try to put up a fight. he didn't refly me. i guess they knew they weren't going to win on this one. huge incorporate victory for the president. >> lawrence: huge win for the president and the republicans as
