tv Hannity FOX News June 9, 2025 6:00pm-7:00pm PDT
6:00 pm
>> so your cnn? >> jesse: my daughter gigi big milestone, she fell into a frog pond. there's a lot of lily pads and she thought it was grass. she thought she was and could walk on water and fell into the pond and then pulled herself out and for the rest of the weekend told everybody i fell into the pond. we are very proud of her and she won't stop talking about it. that's all for us tonight. sean hannity is next and always remember i'm watters and this is my world. >> sean: tonight we begin with a fox news alert. a battalion of u.s. marines have been deployed to los angeles and california to help restore order and protect federal property and the lives of i.c.e. agents and citizens in california. this after a weekend of k loss -- chaos and violence on the street.
6:01 pm
brutal assaults on police and i.c.e. agents. day after day, all seemingly permitted by the cities far left sanctuary cities and far left mayor karen bass and california's sanctuary state far left governor gavin newsom and we will show you how california's top democrats are responding to what they are calling a mostly peaceful demonstration. when it's anything but peaceful. we will also talk to the attorney general pam bondi. if california won't do their job what will the trump administration do. the department of homeland security secretary kristi noem who is spearheading the federal response will join us. first joining us on the ground in los angeles with the very latest... what's going on there. looks like trouble and i see a lot of mexican flags. >> you are right on both accounts. thanks really escalated about 2d
6:02 pm
the county sheriff's department moved into try to clear this intersection here. we are behind the l.a.p.d. skirmish line right now. 15 or 20 minutes ago flash bangs started being used. we saw some smoke being deployed as l.a.p.d. and the sheriff's department are trying to pincer these protesters and get them out of this intersection. they declared a lot -- and unlawful assembly earlier. the crowd did not disperse. we've got california national guard also moving behind to support l.a.p.d. but we wanted to get behind this skirmish line to give you the perspective of what they are looking at as they face these protesters. it's kind of hard to tell from the depth perception but there are hundreds upon hundreds of these protesters in front of these officers, pushing them towards us. they go back probably to cope blocks behind. a whole lot of foreign flags being waived. i don't see a single american
6:03 pm
one right now. i see multiple from mexico and el salvador. we've seen protesters prepping for what they think is going to be a rough night out here because they are handing out earplugs, gas masks and masks and a lot of people are masked with bandannas and others. l.a.p.d. has warned us. backup. l.a.p.d. has been wanting us to back up repeatedly because they say its good to be unsafe shortly as they are expected to clear this crowd out but i can tell you, out here in l.a. whenever we have the civil unrest, any time we start getting closer to sunset that's when things start getting shaky out here. l.a.p.d. already declared a tactical alert. all their officers have to stay on shift and we are seeing multiple agencies out here trying to deal with these crowds. you would think it would be l.a.p.d. pushing into this crowd , pushing venom -- them out of the area but what we see is this crowd advancing on l.a. and l.a.p.d. stepping backwards. we haven't seen any federal
6:04 pm
law enforcement where we are right now. we haven't seen cbp are anybody from dhs. this is l.a.p.d. we got it we are backing up. this is all the locals so all these guys in the black. we will go to the sidewalk. moving to the sidewalk here. want to get out of the way. l.a.p.d. expects the situation in this intersection to get very unsafe very soon so that officer is looking out for our well-being here. about 20 minutes ago they started launching a barrage of flash bangs and there were protesters throwing water bottles at police. the cops are on edge. they don't know where a water bottle is good to be flying in from. a couple were frozen which makes them like blocks so if you get hit in the face by a frozen water bottle that can knock you out and caused serious damage but if we can just pan on the depth of this crowd. look how far it goes and what do you see, it's almost all mexican flags and another flag from
6:05 pm
el salvador. i don't see a single american flag in this crowd right now. we've seen a couple earlier but none from what we are seeing right now. this skirmish line right now, they are supposed to be clearing this crowd from the intersection and forcing the dispersal order. right now the opposite has happened. you've seen it in a few times, l.a.p.d. is backing up as this crowd advances on them. not sure where the national guard went. they are out of our visual range but they have the sheriff's department here helping them out. the big news of the day about 700 marines activated. sounds like we've got people running off in the background and it sounds like there deploying those foam rounds. they were firing those earlier. basically i was watching the officers. anybody who's throwing a bottle at law enforcement their officers with their nonlethal guns and they are shooting the rubber or the foam rounds at those agitators as they are throwing bottles. they are all trying to have each
6:06 pm
other's back but as i wrap it up i just want to stress that these protesters very clearly are preparing for what looks like it's going to be another night of serious unrest because they are handing out earplugs, gas masks. some have shields. a lot of them are covering their faces and we see more of these agitators come into the crowd. i've covered all sorts of rights out here including the george floyd ones. you get these people dressed in all black even though it's the middle of the summer and it's hot. you won't be able to see anything about them. those are typically the agitators that infiltrate the crowd. those are the ones that will start throwing things and based on what we've seen so far, some of those people are in the crowd tonight and law enforcement are going to have their hands full if they try to clear the crowd from this intersection as we head into sunset. we also had... a lot of people getting off work. to have to make sure people don't take over the freeway. but for now we will have to wait and see what happens because we
6:07 pm
are losing sunlight and that is when the agitators are known to come out. >> we will be checking in all throughout the night tonight but i want every american to know i'm going to forgo my monologue for now because of this breaking news. kalis about to unfold in los angeles and in california tonight. there are people that this country can blame. the fact that joe biden and kamala harris and every single democrat that lied to the american people and said the border is closed and secure. and told you not to believe what you're own eyes were showing you they are to blame for this. sanctuary city mayors in blue cities and blue states, century state governors like avenue some , they allowed this illegal immigration to get out of control and out of hand and now you see that officer's lives are at risk tonight and a property damage could be great.
6:08 pm
here with reaction is the u.s. attorney general pam bondi. we know the restrictions that local police are under in a sanctuary state like california. they are prohibited to even inquire about it at an individual status during a routine course of work. they are forbidden from holding illegals until they can be transferred to ice. federal authorities and agencies are prohibited from commandeering local authorities. we do have the supremacy clause. i get it. taxpayer-funded health care and education and other benefits for illegals in california. we know what gavin newsom is going to do. he's not capable of doing the job. he's two ideologically radical left and he hates donald trump to much. what can this federal government do to protect a law enforcement and the people in l.a.? >> what we are going to do is we are going to enforce the law regardless of what they do.
6:09 pm
look at it out there, it looks like a third world country and its non. it's the united states of america. we are not standing for it and donald trump won't stand for it. look at all this -- the great men and women in the l.a.p.d. we are would to protect them. if they will not protect them and prosecute people that abuse the l.a.p.d. in terms during a civil unrest under 18 usc 2:30 one, we can prosecute federally people who assault state law enforcement officers with a maximum of five years in prison and we are going to do it. we are go to prosecute them federally. if california won't protect their law enforcement we won't ... not only that, we have nine open cases right now and more to come on assaulting federal officers. the molotov cocktail cases that you've seen, we charged one and more to come. the looters, they began to loot
6:10 pm
last night going into 7-eleven and drugstores. typically you don't charge those we do under federal law now. under the hobbs act we are charging robbery. you loot a business in california you were looking at maximum of 20 years in prison. you spit on a federal law enforcement officer no more. as president trump said, you spit we hit. if you spit on a federal law enforcement officer we're going to charge you with a crime federally. you are looking at up to five years maximum in prison. the cinder block case, remember that case. we have breaking news right now. the case where the guy was breaking up the cinder blocks and he was throwing them at police cars that -- the federal officer had injured his hand. he was wearing a mask. fbi has identified him. our incredible u.s. attorney out there working with...
6:11 pm
have been doing a remarkable job that guy has just been identified and they are doing a search warrant on his house as we speak. and he's been identified. to see his face, he's going to be on the most wanted list. you have broken the news, is faces out there. that's him. he's been identified by great police work by the fbi. so you can run, you can't hide. we are coming after you federally. if you assault a police officer, if you rob a store, if you loot or spit on a police officer we are coming after you. >> sean: you said a lot there. that's a lot that i didn't note the federal government had authority on. there's a law against hurting state law enforcement. so if california won't do their job, remember back in 2020 with 574 riots, we had two dozen dead americans, cops pelted...
6:12 pm
they didn't do a good job in oakland are in other parts of the country. if you spit at officers or in this case you now have apparently a good lead and you go after this guy, there were a number of people throwing cinder blocks and big ones at patrol cars. you are saying that federally speaking it doesn't matter what the state of california do and how big an issue is the supremacy clause in terms of who has jurisdiction here. >> we have jurisdiction and under 18 usc 231 we're going to go after you if you assault and l.a.p.d. officer, if you assault a deputy. we are going to go after you. if three or more persons in the course of civil disobedience injure a law enforcement officer , you are watching bad. we're good to prosecute you. no longer will you be left out alone in the cold. what they've been doing to them.
6:13 pm
california won't protect state officers, we will. they are writing out there and our great men and women have a command centre set up. look at the guy with the mask who we got. we've identified him. our agents and u.s. attorney have been working around the clock. we've all been on the phone with him all day long and we are coming after you and we will find you. technology is amazing right now. we are tracking you, we will find you and you will go to jail and we will prosecute you federally. >> i was listening earlier today or over the weekend and i felt so sad for the l.a.p.d. chief and he was out there saying we are being overwhelmed by riots. this is the opposite. this is the antithesis of what the governor out there has been saying, what the mayor of los angeles has been saying. and he talked about the danger
6:14 pm
that his officers out there are facing. i want people to listen because they've been lied to. they were told by cory booker, maxine waters and kamala harris and by gavin newsom on msdn sea and local media. they are mostly peaceful. let's listen to the l.a.p.d. chief. >> we are overwhelmed as far as the number of people out there engaged in this type of activity and the type of thanks they are doing. they will take backpacks in the backpack will have a cinder block in it. they have a hammer and it will break up the cinder block and pass it around to throw at officers and throw it cars or other people. we've seen people with hammers and he broadcasted, breaking the bollards behind the federal building and taking the rocks or pieces of concrete and throwing them at officers. we've had liquid of who knows what description thrown at officers.
6:15 pm
>> cinder blocks, liquids, hammers, molotov cocktails. it seems to me that the president really had to go choices. allow this to disintegrate and i don't know how money people die or how many cops or law enforcement would be injured and then act or knowing that they have essential worries city handcuffs on local law enforcement, act now and get involved early and hopefully save lives. if this continues people will die and i've set on this program many times that they have blood on their hands. those people that lied to the american people, whatever the number is, illegal immigrants coming into this country, they have blood on their hands. we have terrorists in this country, iranian hit squads in the country. you've been dealing with this every single day and it really is unfathomable to me. murderers,, cartel members, gang
6:16 pm
members, i do we find them and get rid of them and why are democrats putting their rights above the safety of their own citizens? i don't get it. >> and the police chief also said in that press conference the feds don't mess around and he's right. we were with president trump today in the oval office. we were talking about this and discussing this and we are lockstep together in protecting our citizens and getting these illegal aliens and these criminals out of our country. they think they can run to california and hide from the law you've seen all the violent offenders that have been arrested in california. they can't. we are going to arrest you, we're going to prosecute you or we are going to deport you and we are also going to back the blue. president trump gave us a very clear directive, make america safe again and that's what we are doing. not just for california but for all americans and we are going
6:17 pm
to continue to do that and protect our great country. and especially the men and women in uniform who go out every single day to keep us safe. none of them deserve what is going on right now. look at that graphic. look what they are going through right now. we are going to do everything in our power to protect them. >> we really appreciate your time, thank you. joining us now is homeland security secretary kristi noem. thank you for being with us, we appreciate it. one of the biggest problems we have here is when you look at a state like california and their sanctuary status. there are handcuffs on local law enforcement. for example i talked about this a little bit in my monologue. for example, state and local police officers are prohibited from even acquiring about one's immigration status during a routine course of their work.
6:18 pm
state and local law enforcement officers are forbidden from holding illegal immigrants until they can be transferred to federal custody. and federal agencies are prohibited from commandeering local authorities. so there is a real stranglehold in terms of local law enforcement being able to do their job even those that would want to support ice in their mission to keep californians safe. what's your reaction to that? >> you are right. i would say most of these officers in those states are very unhappy with the policies that they have to follow because they want to be there to back up other law enforcement officers. they want to be there to help make their communities safer and to get these bad criminals out of their states and out of this country. and nla what we've been going after is the worst of the worst. they are murderers, people who have been perpetuating assault and trafficking human beings and drugs and been devastating these
6:19 pm
communities for years and they are so anxious to see people... and make california a fantastic place to be and to have a future. but that is not what happens under the leadership of gavin newsom. so right now our agents are there. they are doing their work and following through on exactly what president trump said he would do and they are doing it with the backup of the national guard. they've been deployed under federal ten which is federal status which is completely authorized and a status which can help make america safe again. >> you say the worst of the worst you talk about murderers and here. >> absolutely. those are the people we are going after. those are the targets. today we had over four to 500 targets we were going after that were members of gangs in l.a. that have been victimizing people for years. that gavin newsom has done nothing about that the mayor has
6:20 pm
done nothing about. i served with her in congress before she was ever mayor and she's a train wreck of a mayor that is endorsing these kind of activities, has allowed her city to be completely devastated with crime and now she's holding press conferences talking about the fact that people have the right to peacefully protest and that they are a city of immigrants. they are not a city of immigrants they are a city of criminals because she's protected them for so many years so we are coming in and doing what the president has said that he's going to do and he's going to allow people to live in a safe community again and we are going to use the authority that he has as president of the united states to conduct these operations and the more that people conduct of violence against law enforcement officers we are going to hit them back and hit them back harder than we ever have before and we conducted more operations today than we did the day before and tomorrow we are going to double those efforts again. the more that they protest and commit acts of violence against
6:21 pm
law enforcement officers the harder ice is going to come after them because these people are patriots. these officers are people who are fighting for their country and i'm so proud of them. they've acted with dignity, they've acted with grace under stressful situations. and when they've been disrespected they've responded appropriately under the law to make sure they were treating every single individual the same and making sure that due process was followed and that they were doing their job. this is an unfortunate situation that we see violence and instigators out there but president trump is really dedicated to bringing peace again. >> cars have been burning and agitators have been attacking. if you turn on fake news cnn are you listen to kamala harris, cory booker, we see the same mantra. just like 2020. mostly peaceful. do we have account how many officers were injured in all of
6:22 pm
this? >> we've got many that have had minor injuries and some that have had serious injuries. shattered bones, concussions, have been heard from different bricks that have been thrown. you've seen the various pictures and videos of different vehicles that have burned and what they've done to not even just a victimized law enforcement officers but people in these communities that were stopped on the freeway for hours and weren't able to get to their families and were victimized from objects being thrown so it's an unfortunate situation but it's one that president trump is going to shut down because here members 2020. i remember 2020. i remember when all this started in minnesota with tim walz as their governor who let the city burn for days and then he called up neighbouring governors like me and said would you please deploy or national guard to help me because i let this go too far. and we didn't. we said you had poor leadership and he won't put your own national guard out there on the front line, why should we belyeu
6:23 pm
out of a situation to where you allowed your entire city to burn to the ground and the president had to step in. he's doing that again and he's being very proactive and i'm proud to be on the front lines with him to bring peace to the city and not let it get out of hand like it did in 2020. >> sean: what about the pallets of bricks mysteriously appearing at the scene avoid some of this took place. have you found evidence of organization and funding? >> these are organized. these are people that are being paid to do this. you can follow how they behave and the signals they give to each other in these crowds and these protests to instigate violence. this is an operation and it's professionally done. they done it before we are going to make sure we prosecute everything the one of them. >> sean: coming up we are going to monitor the situation live on the ground in los angeles. police now starting to clash with riders. we'll have the latest on -- as it unfolds and we will show gavin newsom all the heinous crimes committed against
6:24 pm
6:26 pm
6:28 pm
>> sean: we continue our coverage of the situation that is unfolding in realtime in los angeles. police are starting to clash with riders. we are live on the ground in los angeles with the very latest. thanks are getting very tense -- things. >> we are a few blocks away from our last live shot. l.a.p.d. continuing to push
6:29 pm
these agitators. this is that skirmish line we showed you about 20 minutes ago. they are still trying to push these protesters. you heard a foam round get shot off right there. someone throwing a bottle. so police are one to be a little bit more ansi. as they are pushing them back you will notice its almost all foreign flags and signs that say fis. we will walk up ahead a little bit more here. this has been a constant game of cat and mouse and it's getting more and more tense. it feels like a pressure cooker. you can feel the tension building. the sun is starting to go down and somewhere out. if we pan the faces in the crowd some people have gas masks and helmets on. someone just through a firecracker. it's going to go off. there we go. that's the point. these agitators are want to start throwing thanks at police as going to put police on edge and they are going to respond with their nonlethal rounds. you take a look at these officers and you see the green
6:30 pm
neon slings those are there foam launchers or their rubber bullets. their nonlethal guns. but we thought the night was going to head this way and it looks like it is. we are getting more of those agitators and they always throw stuff from the back of the crowd. there than -- they are not the ones that are good to be seen. in that case there was a firework that landed about 5 feet away from us by underneath a car. so that's going to put these. one second. these officers just want to make sure we are in a safe location. someone just threw a stick. that's knocking to go over well. that happened right in front of us. they just responded with a foam round. so as we continue to follow l.a.p.d. from their perspective, behind their skirmish line, watching some of these agitators in front of them, it's getting a little bit more violent.
6:31 pm
nothing extreme or severe yet. haven't seen any rocks or stones but i will tell you we watched and l.a.p.d. officer pull two metal baseball black -- baseball bats out of bush's. they have been stashed by some of the agitators before they got pushed out of the area. another firecracker to all right. lunch out. so again people are launching fireworks. we've seen them launching water bottles. more fireworks unless that was. [simultaneous talking] >> sean: a look like a bottle rocket the way it shot out underneath the car. i used to be a fireworks not. >> it's hard for me to tell. they are pretty small. to look like the size of like a usb drive when they are in the air and there's a sparks coming out so i'm not sure what they are. but just in the last few minutes we've seen three of go -- three of those get launched.
6:32 pm
they were having more bottles thrown at them and it's almost all foreign flags in this crowd. there's one partial u.s. flag mixed in with other flags here but i'm getting the sense that some of these agitators are starting to come out. it's no longer people -- it feels like a different crowd them we had a few hours ago. most of those folks were fairly peaceful. they were chanting and holding up signs, perfectly fine. say whatever they want but once we start seeing what's happening here with these firecrackers, yesterday l.a.p.d. had forces down here and people were throwing fireworks at the horses. a few of them reportedly got injured. sounds like a few more foam rounds just went off. the crowd is starting to run away a little bit now. not sure what happened on the other side of this bus but again , i've covered l.a. for a long time and a lot of these riots whether it be george floyd are lakers are dodgers celebrations or this and you get to learn what the agitators look
6:33 pm
like i'm seeing a decent amount of them out here right now, always dressed in black with face coverings. not holding any signs. as i told you earlier, a lot of people were showing up here and they were being given earplugs, gas masks, water bottles. not to drink. a lot of those are being thrown. unfortunately it looks like we might be heading for another night of things crossing the line here in los angeles and as we are waiting for more national guard and more u.s. marines to head down here to los angeles, we're not not seeing any of them in the streets. national guard are basically sitting around federal buildings helping protect them. they are not on the streets pushing back, these are all the locals. everything you are looking at is l.a.p.d. is not california highway patrol, the sheriff's department is behind us. this is all l.a.p.d. and we heard the chief say last night they are a bit overwhelmed.
6:34 pm
once these agitators come out in huge numbers and l.a.p.d. has to respond in different areas they reported that some of these people were using radios to communicate with each other. so it's complicated for law enforcement as well but this is essentially the game that's get -- at police will try to push them back. they melt away like water and will go down another alley and reemerge somewhere else. and every now and then you will have these spurts where it's quiet and then people will start throwing water bottles and fireworks again but you see it, a lot of foreign flags and seeming to be kind of a different crowd than what we saw a few hours ago. definitely you can feel the tension building, you can feel like as the sun is about to go down here we could be in for another rough night here in los angeles. >> sean: that's kind of scary.
6:35 pm
some water bottles, bats being hidden and fireworks go -- fireworks going off. you've been there from the beginning, you were at the border as democrats and the president at the time biden and kamala harris and other democrats either silent or complacent all telling the american people the border is secure, all leading to this... but we will come back to you in a minute. in los angeles tonight. joining us now, as these riots continue, so do all my unanswered questions for your sanctuary state governor gavin newsom. i planned a longer monologue in the beginning today with all this breaking news, we don't have time to get to it tonight but as l.a. burned, he did take time to respond to me while all of this is unfolding, this...
6:36 pm
instead of answering any of my questions, he got political. he just went after trump and called him every name he could possibly think from -- thank of. going on local media attacking trump, blaming trump and meanwhile it's his state that is -- that has allowed century city and state policies to be in place and then begging to be arrested. he wants to be a martyr. his presidential aspirations, here's more about himself and i'm going to scroll this here. take a look your screen. that is the crimes committed by illegal immigrants in california remake this is the same california when gavin newsom when he became governor and he gave his first address. he proudly vowed that he would be -- that california would be a sanctuary to all who seek it. that's what he said. obviously he cares more about his political ambitions.
6:37 pm
look at that list. have you ever called one of those families? here's another odd thing. in california because of the sanctuary policies, they don't keep crime statistics on illegal immigrants. they are hiding the true impact on the people of california. we have a lot more and we will keep scrolling. here with reaction, he's the host of the adam carolla show. this is why i left a couple of years ago the state of new york. it's not really any better. look at all the people that have been murdered and and the victims of violent crime. we have in this country, we have cartel members, gang members, other violent criminals. we have terrorists. we have iranian assassination squads in the country because democrats let them in, they lie to us and said the border was secure and then they get protection free health care and education and other services from your estate and your governor and your officials. explain that to the american people.
6:38 pm
>> we have the same problem with illegals as we do with homeless. we make it very hospitable and they go where the getting is good. we say come on down and they listen. they come on down. so i've lived in los angeles my entire life. there was no such thing as street vending. it's third world. if you wanted to buy a taco on the street or a hotdog on the street you go to tijuana. there's 50,000 street vendors in los angeles now. no license, no taxes, no health codes know nothing. you walk on the street in los angeles and you either run into a homeless guy on fentanyl or an illegal selling you a hotdog wrapped with bacon. >> let me also while we are doing this, i want to scroll something else. i want to scroll all the prohibitions against law enforcement officers because
6:39 pm
of the sanctuary state status. like for example a cop, local police officers, they are prohibited from even asking about one's immigration status during the routine course of work. state and local officers are forbidden from holding illegal immigrants until they can be transferred into federal custody. they know they are illegal. the right thing to do would be they didn't respect our laws borders and sovereignty but they give them -- they aid and abet them and then they get free education courtesy of american taxpayers and california taxpayers. >> remember when biden's big border patrol policy was just don't, they were like don't come. they don't listen, they watch. they want your actions. when you make it hospitable for them and they come. that's why they come to los angeles and don't come to many other places.
6:40 pm
and also it's so sad when you hear the mayor and if you're the governors saying these people are scared of. when the national guard shows up you scare them. how about small business owners that are scared, how about small business owners that have rebuilt their business from the last time you idiots let them burn down. what about them, and they not have fears that they are going to have their business taken over again by hoodlums. and if you didn't do anything that would you have to fear? >> you have so much and i want to play something else. i want to play -- we are not taking this break right now and staying with the coverage as the conflict is ratcheting up. we have some breaking news. i got into this with gavin and gavin has nothing better to do than to go on local media and bash donald trump and blame donald trump. all donald trump is doing because local police have handcuffs on them because of the
6:41 pm
sanctuary state status. donald trump is protecting more enforcement, the very same law enforcement that is there to do the job that they denied needed to be done which is to go after the people that are known criminals. they are getting the worst of the worst. you would think everybody would celebrate that. can you explain your fellow los angeles residents why they wouldn't want these people off the street? >> they voted for these idiots and just like what happened with covid they can't apologize because they are the idiots who bought all this. remember 10 minutes ago when they were talking about jay six and how we needed the national guard and why was in the national guard cent and how come trump didn't send the national guard to protect them on january sixth. well now trump is sending the national guard but the national guard are dangerous or evil or they don't protect
6:42 pm
people or they are only good to protect them, which is it with the national guard because they were just trying to destroy trump for not sending the national guard for january sixth >> we really appreciate it. our prayers are with you and the people of los angeles and also law enforcement that are out there. we are going to go back to bill in just a minute. but first joining us with reaction, former idf head aaron cohen is with us. former fbi special... i can't imagine, we see that they have prepositioned baseball bats. they were handing out earplugs and gas masks. they have frozen water bottles, they are pelting cops with that and molotov cocktails. throwing fireworks at them. it's an untenable situation, also preventable and predictable and then you've got handcuffs on local law enforcement. these guys are doing the best job they can. president trump saw what
6:43 pm
happened in the summer of 2020. how many people would have to die, how many people would have to be injured before he would then act. it would be too late wouldn't it? >> it would be and this will not be summer of 2020 part two. president trump is coming and strong and he says it will not be tolerated and this is a very different situation than we were dealing with before. i can speak for myself as a former fbi agent who was working for the fbi during that time frame, you fast-forward you got kash patel and he's saying there is zero tolerance for this you have pam bondi zero tolerance for this. there will be harsh consequences. under christopher ray there was a posture of stand down and don't do anything. they didn't want to charge anybody. they will be extremely aggressive. i do believe this is highly orchestrated. it's not a coincidence that all of that was planted there but the games will be over. president trump saying we're going to take charge we won't
6:44 pm
have a replay of what happened in the summer of 2020. >> aaron let's get your take on this. you understand tactical strategies and situations like this because the idf deals with it on a regular basis. i don't see any other alternative but if local law enforcement don't have the authority, they can't even ask the legal status of somebody they encounter, how could they possibly use proper law enforcement technique that is necessary in this moment? >> you are absolutely right. law enforcement is using an incredible amount of restrained. these are from sources of mine on the ground, cops who are on the streets who have been justified in several different instances where they could have used lethal force but didn't. they are under constant arrests and threat so that's one. i want to speak to the bigger picture with this here from the
6:45 pm
counterterror angle. this isn't a protest problem here in los angeles. this is a counterintelligence problem and what's happening in los angeles isn't free-speech. this is coordinated insurgency which is what everybody understands and what nicole just alluded to. we've got political fact money, digital organizing on platforms, masked agitators who are flooding the streets right now again with the palestine flags, every other flag but the american flags and politicians who are quietly standing behind this. you just spoke to gavin newsom, no one's doing a thing. so this has nothing to do with immigration. this is about control. control of the streets. control of the algorithm and ultimately control of the country which is what they are trying to do and this is low threat domestic intensity is what this is.
6:46 pm
insurgency. this is what it looks like. if this was overseas and we saw this happening right now with troops, mobs trying to overrun marines outside of an embassy, torching vehicles and trying to breach perimeters this would be terrorism and the ones who are paying the price, law enforcement on the ground. so donald trump was right to send in the guard to activate the marines. now it's time to start following the money and prosecuting and that's where i come out with all of this. it's all nonsense and there's a lot behind it. >> when you think of karen bass and gavin's him and you think back to the pacific palisades and the fires. predictable fires. santa ana winds that are predictable also in the area and we had a fire hydrant that had no water and we had reservoirs that have no water in their answer was you have to ask the local officials. that's not my problem. nicole stay right there.
6:47 pm
we go back now to the streets of los angeles where this clash now between protesters and the police is ongoing as we speak and have been pointing out. they had preposition things like baseball bats, earplugs have been handed out, gas masks, water bottles frozen handed out to people so they can throw the police. fireworks going off. you are not in a particularly safe injured -- safes situation. >> it continues to be active with l.a.p.d. trying to push this crowd down the street. they are further out of our view they brought up more units like a s.w.a.t. truck. there is a huge amount of l.a.p.d. out here. we've got the squad moving up here and in the background we've got more moving up here. it's very clear that this group of agitators they are pushing in front of us are putting a huge priority on, we swing back around. so we can see what we were showing you before we often the distance distance you will still see some of those flags waving
6:48 pm
around. there are a bunch of cruisers kind of blocking our view. l.a.p.d. is keeping the media significantly further back so we are not able to see as much but you saw 10 minutes ago with the bottles and firecrackers, starting to get a little bit more tense out here. they are pushing this group all around downtown l.a. we've gone six or seven blocks now, we're not seeing anybody get arrested. we are seeing them corralling them to different parts of the town. you are also able to see a helicopter shot from our fox shot where it looks like you've got gas or smoke being deployed elsewhere. that's where a lot of the ice detainees are taken once they are arrested. that's been seen a lot of the graffiti and the protests. lapd's headquarters last night
6:49 pm
had a bunch of their windows broken out by protesters. they came in with the skateboards and bash them out. you're taking a look at different parts of the city right now as l.a.p.d. is all over the place and they are having to deal with these pockets of protesters who are showing up all around the city. they will clear them out of one area and they melt away like water and show up elsewhere and l.a.p.d. has reported that a lot of these groups have radios there exume -- they are using two communicative with each other so they can see where law enforcement is going. despite everything we've seen over these last couple of days, they are reporting they've only made 50 arrests since saturday. a couple of those very serious. one was attempted murder with the molotov cocktail being thrown. another was assault with a deadly weapon on a police officer. else report that five of their officers have been injured in these riots. only minor injuries and five of their police forces received minor injuries as well. >> i don't know if you heard the attorney general earlier but she
6:50 pm
said there are federal laws against hurting state law enforcement. there are laws that protect local law enforcement if they have been -- if anybody spits at them and they are now on the verge of getting one of those guys. those are images that i don't think i ever want to see again in my life. that was pretty chilling. i want to ask you a question. you covered for fox news extensively all of the illegal immigration at a time when the american people were being told that the border is closed and the border is secure. you follow that, you were there. you had -- he reported many times. i'll tell you what is happening and you had what the truth was. now we see the results of not only that big lie by joe biden's cognitive state but also the
6:51 pm
results of sanctuary policies that put handcuffs on officers but also created an attitude of entitlement among people. why are people waving mexican flags? why is that happening to such an extent, why was that guy doing doughnuts over the weekend with the mexican flag, what is it that these people are telling you that they want? >> based off of who we talked to an a chance we've heard they don't want ice to exist. they want ice abolished and every ice detainees to be released. i think part of the reason behind that is some of this inflammatory language we've heard from these politicians who say ice is spreading terror. they make it sound like ice is going door-to-door in these neighbourhoods kicking in these stores and pulling out grandmas and young children when the reality is they are targeting a lot of really bad apples and a lot of guys with criminal convictions.
6:52 pm
in their operation on friday and saturday they can -- a rest day convicted murder... people convicted of assault with a deadly weapon. these are serious crimes and they've warned that they were going to have to go out in the communities to make arrests if sanctuary jurisdictions didn't cooperate. it would prefer to have all these guys handed over to them at jail. it's a lot safer. but sanctuary jurisdictions do not honour ice detainer's so what have they repeatedly warned, if you are going to let them go... then we are going to have to go out into the community and find these guys and when we do find these guys if they are with other illegal aliens we're going to arrest them. they've never hidden that. they've said that's going to happen. so when you hear these things about raids at home depot and businesses and stuff, some of that is worksite enforcement and siting employment laws. sometimes they will have a criminal judicial warrant for somebody who works at home depot
6:53 pm
or is known to loiter outside of home depot and they will go arrest that guy on a criminal warrant and if he's with ten other guys and they happen to be in the u.s. illegally they will arrest him as well. tom homan has said everybody's on the table if they are in the u.s. illegally and it seems like politicians are surprised that they are actually doing what they said. >> there's a lot of indications that this has been preplanned. when you talk about giving out gas masks and earplugs and water bottles that are frozen and they have their fireworks and you have bats that are prepositioned in certain areas where they think that the protests will take place. couple that with some unconfirmed reports but reports that i've seen that there are specific groups behind a lot of what we are witnessing not only tonight and what we witnessed over the weekend and maybe some financing behind them. are there any indications as you talk to people on the ground that that is the case?
6:54 pm
>> i don't know who's funding them but somebody is. i can tell you from mike previous coverage of this there are these different anarchist groups that use different -- somebody is being arrested to our rights. looks like they will let him go. he tried to get through the police line and they stopped him and turned him back. but there are these different anarchists and groups that use telegram and signal channels and they communicate with each other through that. that's how they are able to constantly infiltrate these different protests and show up at different times with different gear and those are the people we will sometimes see throwing the fireworks or thanks in the background. as for who's paying them if anybody i do not know. that something i've been wondering myself for a long time the folks out here aren't always eager to talk about who could potentially be funding them or why they are all coordinating to be in one spot at the same time.
6:55 pm
>> sean: we will get into more of the finances behind all this tomorrow and how much the american taxpayers are paying for education and health care for gavin newsom sanctuary state and mayor bass sanctuary city because american taxpayers are paying part of that bill and californians are paying a big part of the bill but when you put the money aside their crew -- there clearly is an incentive to go to a century city or state because there are protections that come along with that. >> absolutely. if you are in the u.s. illegally of course you want to go to a sanctuary jurisdiction. you know you will be protected. they are not going to be handed over to the feds in the case of california they've been offering free health insurance for illegal aliens. they offer college scholarships for illegal immigrants so there is a pull factor and we wonder why california has one of the
6:56 pm
biggest populations of illegal immigrants in the country. if you offer them they are going to come and ice has a huge job to do and they've just started doing that job and think about it they've only made a few hundred arrests since friday. there's an estimated probably well over a million here in los angeles. they've arrested a few hundred in the last few days. handful of which have been serious criminals and we see the response. now we have this escalating war of wars between the politicians against trump and pete hegseth. i talked to the u.s. attorney out here today who was picked by trump and i asked him i said if these gets bad enough as there world that exists where you are going to pull back on immigration enforcement out here and he laughed and said absolutely not. the more violent they get the more we are going to double down. we will bring in more military and law enforcement and that's what happened today. we saw they are sending 700
6:57 pm
marines down here and more national guard. the feds are not messing around. >> if there wasn't breaking news i have a very strong message for gavin newsom because he doesn't care about the people whose names we scrolled that have been murdered and and victims of violent crime. he clearly only is considering the radical base of the democratic party. great work for us tonight, stay safe, please. joining us is nicole parker and aaron cohen. i was going back and forth and it's interesting that gavin newsom has time to are tal media while all of this has been unfolding and he just wants to attack donald trump in any form he can but they wouldn't take the opportunity to debate me. i volunteered to have that debate tomorrow. but the reality is he has to answer for a lot of questions out there. why does he support this, is it
6:58 pm
aiding and abetting lawbreaking. from your point of view as a former fbi agent, if you create essential waste eight and you offer incentives and benefits to people is that aiding and abetting? >> it's absolutely a porton and there's nothing that they will take off of the table. i know the fbi and the attorney general and the department of justice are going to look and no stone will be left unturned. if he thinks he can get away with this and not take care care of this date, people deserve better. those individuals, many of them do support these deportations. they do not want this in their city or even in their state and he's shirking his responsibility being the governor as is the mayor and many others that are responsible for taking care of their people. i can tell you the fbi will get to the bottom of this. they will discover the financing like you were discussing. table look at every single thing this is a different fbi and everyone will be held accountable. >> sean: i'm going to give you
6:59 pm
the final minute in the last word on all of this. what device do you have for law enforcement on the ground and the officers that president trump is sending in their? >> for law enforcement it's keep your head on a swivel. make sure that you are using the proper level of escalation and de-escalation. my concern here is that the most dangerous part of all of this is that next attacker but he's not on the street. he's in some room watching. he saving clips of this chaos and scrolling telegram and he's showing signs and he's doing and that resentment looking for some target, fantasizing about revenge. that's the narcissistic radical lone wolf. that's been popping off and that's what i'm focusing on my new system. i'm going to get cops the tools they need to have america's first early warning detection system and that's what i'm worried about. all this information is going to
7:00 pm
pop off with some radical kid who's going to want to make a statement and open fire and bring this to the next level that's my fear. >> sean: we appreciate you both. that's all the time we have left this evening. our prayers to the people of aust -- los angeles and the citizens out there. stay for continuing coverage. trace gallagher is in los angeles and who will be coming up next. set your dvr so you never miss an episode. tonight our heart is troubled, our prayers are with the people in california tonight. thank you for being with us. back here tomorrow. >> 10:00 p.m. on the east coast 7:00 p.m. here in los angeles trace: and this is a special edition of america's late news fox news at night of. we want to take you know live to downtown los angeles because they are bracing for another night of anti-i.c.e. riots after th
