Phase 2 - Followed "Duck & Cover"
I remember this fallout stuff. Became a buzzword in the late 50's. I recall the business about putting a plate out after dark to see if there was dust falling. Quite scary. Around 1960, they came out with the "Horizon Home" model in Nankin Township. It had real narrow windows and a built in bomb shelter in the basement. After we got home from seeing that I remember my parents stocking some stuff in the fruit cellar under the steps. It was a very real thing back in those days - especially if you lived near a big industrial city that was a war machine during WW 2. This film uses the characteristic cartoon figures of the late 50's.

Oh well!
Fun panic film telling you what you need to do when the big blast hits! It goes into detail of what fallout is, and where to take your family when it approaches. That is, build that fallout shelter! Buy lots of food and blankets! Its actually very good advice all things considering. That animated family looked all to non-plussed about the chaos around them.
