Speed run of Final Fantasy 3 in 32 segments completed on May 5 2005. Available in 3 versions: low quality, normal quality, and 60fps high quality.
Author's comments:
This run is quite similar to my last Final Fantasy 3 speed run. I felt compelled to do it over because the previous run was missing a 2-minute Tyrannosaur segment. I said of my last run that it was in too many segments for my taste, and this one is even more segments. That's because I decided to fight nothing but Tyrannosaur pincers in the dinosaur forest, and nothing but Cactrots in the desert. In my previous run, I decided it was unethical to use segments for luck manipulation. But this way's faster. And besides, those are the most boring parts of the game to watch, so they might as well be as short as possible.
On the whole, I think the strategy in this run is cleaner than the last one. I changed several things that I decided after the last run could have been planned better.
Master ZED has a very accurate and informative FF3 site that has helped me out with this game many times, especially the Slot page, which is where I learned the Joker Doom trick. If you're curious about the trick, that's the place to look.

Good piece of work. The heavy use of joker doom and vanish/doom bugs me a bit (and dropped my review a star), but with SDA's generally liberal acceptance rules, they make sense as the fastest reliable means of dealing with troublesome fights.
This second take on the speed run saved a fair bit of time by streamlining menu operation, as well...
