iowa caucus came in third with over 11 percent. jeb bush also had 11 percent... and marco rubio rounds out the top five with 10 percent. those numbers come from the associated press. supporters in manchester... grateful for the win new hampshire we want to thank you remember you started it you started it. with about 70 percent of the vote counted, trump had about a 20 point lead. trump says he's looking forward to nevada and south carolina who'll be heading to their primaries in the next coming weeks. lukas and on the democratic side of the race, vermont senator bernie sanders took the state as expected. voters in new hampshire followed through with their support... with sanders garnering 60 percent. clinton finished up the primary with about 38 percent. sanders took the opportunity to reiterate his stance on campaign finance reform.

" any eports that happen within cleveland, ohio will be reported to us." residents of ohio, indiana, delaware, pennsylvania and tennessee are now among the 19 states and dc that are battling zika here in the us. in nearly all of these cases, the patients were infected with the virus by traveling abroad...and with only 6 months until the olympic games in rio, the concerns for the health of olympic travelers is increasing. u-s soccer star hope solo told sports

recent vote by city planning and zoning... approving a conditional construction permit for the cell tower. concerned citizens say they viewed the meeting as a chance to present evidence opposing the project this wouldve been their last opportunity to presend eveidence, however the board did not allow them another hearing , their previous decision was final. the decision did not sit well with neighbors attending the meeting. residents say there is a long list of reasons they don't want the towers in their backyard. morningside resident mary zink says, "all of us live right around the area all of us will see decreases in our property value, all of us will have to put up with that eyesore and many of us are concerned about possible health effects that under federal law the board can't use, but they are still real the next move by neighbors would be to file suit in district court. they will have 30 days to come to

jessica rae scott: lukas: water quality in iowa has been a hot topic as of late. controversy over how to regulate agricultural practices to protect water quality in iowa is again taking center stage. " how many more billions can we spend, without seeing any real progress without changing the approach? authors of a new study say what's being done by farmers to protect our streams and rivers... isn't enough. experts on the matter in northwest iowa say ... their biggest challenge is getting producers informed about their options. abc9 news reporter jess plue tells us more. "i think everybody sees degraded water quality but are hoping to make enprovements and by giving the farmers educating, and providing tools for implementing, it'd help with improving water quality," says anita patrick, watershed project coordinator for the wqi project in the headwaters of the north raccoon. watershed project coordinator, anita patrick, said theres a

farmers can use when trying to improve water conservation. while many of the tools and practices are patrick says the getting those informed..and united. "we do recognize that farmers can do their part and we are focusing on equipting local farmers and producers and make sound decisions," says patrick from choosing to implement cover crops like winter hardy cereal rye or perenial grasses to utilizing nitrogen sensing technology, patrick assures landowners that there's a conservation method for every situation, it's just a matter of choosing the right one. "with the watershed management plan, we hope to prioritize different conservation practices and match them up to different locations," says patrick. patrick doesn't believe that making mandatory laws governing farming practices would be effective since all farm lands are different and

"we recognize that every oporation is different and there's no one single practice that's going to fit the issues. it's going to take a whole suit of practices, it's going to take cooperation, everybody to make it work," says patrick. lukas: we also spoke to iowa secretary of state, bill northey, about the study. here is what he had to say about the state's voluntary efforts. counties, seeking reimbursement for more than a million dollars worth of nitrate removal from water taken from the raccoon river. supervisors from buena vista, sac and calhoun counties are all named in the lawsuit. in it ... it states farmers should follow regulations in the clean water act. the e se is still tied up in litigation. lukas: the mayor of flint, michigan has announced a 55- million-dollar proposal to remove lead piping from the city's water system. it's a bid to fix the city's toxic water crisis as quickly as possible. first priority goes to high-risk households. meanwhile, michigan governorick snyder declined an invitation to testify at a hearing before the house democratic steering and policy committee. his spokesman said he couldn't testify because he has to deliver a budget presentation to the state legislature. that hearing takes places later today. though they're within date they may have been exposed to temperature fluctuation. now that i know what to keep, i can't just toss this old medication in the trash. (angela giallourakis/ pharmacist, cleveland clinic) one way i recommend is take any of your capsules, tablets- medications that you have that are expired, crush them up a little bit, add a little bit of water, they recommend to either throw old coffee grounds, food scraps, kitty litter, saw dust- anything to make it filthy or putrid so that someone's not going to want to dig through there and find them. also, remember to scratch out personal information on any prescription bottles before you dispose of that. lukas: it's not uncommon for dogs to be used as therapy animals, but at a veterans home in salt lake city, they do things a little differently. meet charlie the red kangaroo. for about a year, charlie has served as a therapy animal at a veterans home. he has also taken trips to special education classes and hoice care facilities. the red kangaroo is only about a

lukas lawmakers were back at it at the iowa state capitol yesterday... attempting to hash out the state budget for education. reporter amanda krenz explainshow lawmakers are looking past the 2016 budget. "amanda intro 1:05:57 the funding in conference committee for the next school year could be tied up for who knows how long. the senate decided to get started on funding for the 2018 school year. inside senate chambers - democratic leaders say they're following the law when it comes to eduation funding... and fighting to get money in place for the next two school years. they proposed a 4 percent funding increase for 2018... after hearing from school districts that they've had to delay buying classroom materials, textbooks, and

"(president obama) "as we've seen in the past few years, and just in the past few days, cyber threats pose a danger not only to our national security but also our financial securiysecurity and the privacy of millions of americans. my budget includes more than 19 billion-dollars for cybersecurity, which is up by more than one-third. and with this plan we intend to modernize federal it by replacing and retiring outdated systems that are vulnerable to attacks." the government's top cybersecurity experts say the new plan won't entirely prevent further breaches, but new steps are essential. the president also spoke about how both the social security administration and the irs are working off archaic operating systems. "(president obama) ur social security system still runs on a cobalt platform that dates back to the 60's. our irs systems are archaic as with a whole host of other agencies that are consistently collecting data on every american. if we're gonna really secure those in a

need to upgrade them." the president's 20-17 budget proposes a 3- point-1 dollar billion information technology modernization fund to overhaul the infrastructure of the network and systems of the programs. lukas: president obama's efforts to stop climate change is seeing a setback. the supreme court has temporarily blocked the obama administration's plan to limit greenhouse gas emissions from power plants. under the e-p-a's clean power plan... states would be required to meet specific carbon emission reduction standards based on their energy consumption. the plan has been criticized by republicans, who call it "unlawful". more than two- dozen states have filed a federal lawsuit to challenge the clean power plan. for now, the plan cannot be enforced while the rule is legally challenged. lukas: the stock market has been fluctuating all year, with experts throwing around

market and bear market. but what exactly do those terms mean and how do they affect you? reporter dianne gallagher explains. "bull market...bear market...these words are tossed around all the time but what exactly do they mean and do they really have anything to do with you? simply put, a bull market is trending up. a bear market is trending down. we've been living in a mostly bull market for at least the past five years. so, in order for it to switch, we'd need to see a 20-percent dip from the highest point last year. "with the national spotlight on water issues in flint, michigan, the director of norfolk's water and sewer department wants to assure residents that the city's water supply is safe. dennis watts says norfolk's water supply has very low levels of lead, far below the maximum allowed by the epa. norfolk public schools students are one snow day away from having to make up class time. at this week's meeting of the board
