and iowa anti-bullying conference is under fire after complaints were made over the content of presentations. state representative bobby kaufmann says more than two dozen complain, saying that it was sexually charged and inappropriate. the iowa schools organize the conference and the executive director called this a witchhunt against lgbt youth. >> kids as young as 12 to 13 were encouraged to practice safe on ditch, they were told about apps that could help them locate the nearest orgy. >> talking about an applicant help students find orgies is ridiculous. eric: a panel will investigate. elizabeth: parents in clarion are outraged after an alleged event of hazing. at least six victims have come forward.

the police chief tells kcci a group of three older football players would grab a younger player before football practice, take them into a room by the locker room and assault him. some parents say they want to pull their kids out of school. >> after every incident they said that was initiation. >> it was like the most disgusting thing i've ever heard. there's a lot of sick stuff but come on. it's going to scar him for life. shaina: the suspects and involved one adult and two juveniles will face charges of simple assault and hazing. eric: a teenager shot by a stranger in a mcdonald's parking lot is recovering. friends say justin phongsavanh have a bullet watched in his spine and may never walk again. a gofundme page has raised $5,000. gabriel coco shot him and pistol

whipped his friend after witnessing the teenagers poor behavior saturday night. he says he doesn't understand why things had to turn violent. >> i don't know what happened there. there's no reason to shoot somebody for whatever. you shouldn't pull your got on somebody for something like that. eric: gabriel coco has bonded out. elizabeth: a man says he is dropping a bad habit after his car was stolen twice within three days. the chrysler convertible was: how his driveway after it was left unlocked with the key in the ignition. the car was located a short while later but the key was missing. by the time the car got there, the car was gone again. investigators say they have a warrant out for the man they believed stole the car both times. clark says he will reconsider leaving his car unlocked.

eric: a late-night for royals fans. well into extra innings. shaina humphries has the highlights. shaina: it was a very late night, it lasted a full 14 innings which ties the world series record and ended with kansas city hitting a sacrifice fly that drove it home for a 5-4 win. he had a home run off the first pitch off of matt harvey. the game lasted nine hours -- five hours and nine minutes. including a power failure that knocked the game of the air for a while and kept officials from using video replay. >> was a great night. two things you don't want in game one and one is to go 14 innings and the other one is to drive straight through the game . shaina: they face off again for

also, almost 6000 schoolchildren in illinois have almost a month off from school. the strike started in east st. louis, illinois after the union leaders rejected a deal. it has been under state control since 2011 because of poor performance. under this deal, teachers would not have been able to reach top salary scale until they've worked for 21 years. elizabeth: republicans face off for the third time tonight in the race for the white house. eric: nikole killion is in washington with what is different. nikole: this is the first time gop helpful's are debating since scott walker got out of the race. tonight to be made a break -- make or break. donald trump hoping to make a comeback after falling, also, jeb bush is excited to come out

elizabeth: general motors is recalling one point 4 million cars due to fears they might catch fire. they include models produced almost two decades ago. gm says more than 1300 vehicles caught fire after being fixed. they see the fires are the result of oil leaking onto a hot manifold while the car was off. fiat chrysler is looking for a new safety chief after scott councilmen resigned on tuesday. fiat chrysler announced it is recalling nearly 100,000 jeeps because of a fire risk and more then 86,000 rim 15 cups -- ram 15 pickup's. no injuries have been reported yet related to either recall. elizabeth: make changes for southwest airlines customers out of des moines. eric: say goodbye to chicago and

clarion-goldfield-dows high school have come forward. the police chief tells kcci a group of three older football players would grab a younger player and take them into the locker room. during a special school board meeting, three students were expelled until the end of the school year. the suspects will all face two charges each, simple assault and hazing. a teen shot over the weekend may never walk again. justin phongsavanh has a bullet logged in his spine after being shot in the parking lot of an ankeny mcdonalds. 36-year-old gabriel coco has bonded out of jail after shooting the teen. police say coco shot the teen and pistol whipped another after witnessing their "poor behavior" inside the restaurant saturday night. a gofund me page has raised more than $5,000 for medical bills. elizabeth: the owner of red convertible with personalized military plates is the victim of car theft twice. two weekends ago gerald clarks' unlocked car was taken from his

for a month now. a teacher strike began back on the 1st of the month. this after union members rejected a tentative deal between their representatives and the school district. the district has been under state control since 2011 because of its poor performance. gop candidates will be back on the national stage today. the two hour debate is set for the coors event center at the university of colorado in boulder. the top 10 polling candidates will participate in the 3rd debate. the bottom 4 candidates will take part in an earlier debate. you can catch all the action on cnbc starting at 5:00. eric: today, the iowa board of regents will look to other higher education professionals for ways to improve campus safety and security. elizabeth: the summit begins this morning. kcci's alyx sacks is live in studio with more on this. alyx, have they ever had anything like this before? alyx: this is the first in the first and they brought together higher educational professionals from across the state.
