Description: KCRA-TV investigates the subject of the occult in this 1969 news special. Interviews with Official Witch Louise Huebner, author and psychotherapist Nathaniel Branden bookend this special report examining the world of tarot cards, hypnotism, witchcraft, and other often misunderstood practices of the occult and new age arts.
Louise Huebner (1930 - 2014) was an American author of occult books, astrologer, and the only officially appointed Official Witch in the entire world. She published several books as well as audio recordings (her spoken word album "Seduction Through Witchcraft" can be heard on YouTube) and was a popular guest on radio and television, including The Johnny Carson Show.
Nathaniel Branden (1930 – 2014) was a
psychotherapist and writer known for his work in the psychology of
self-esteem. A former associate and romantic partner of
Ayn Rand, Branden also played a prominent role in the 1960s in promoting Rand's
philosophy,
Objectivism. Rand and Branden split acrimoniously in 1968, after which Branden focused on developing his own psychological theories and modes of therapy.
