cbs 2 news - reporter - steffi - lee - is here with their message.steffi.. when donald trump said he'd place a ban on muslims coming into the country - that didn't sit well with many people in n cecer rapids.that's because this city has a rich history of accepting muslims and immigrants. - before trump even arrived in cedar rapids, members of the inter- religious council made sure others felt their presence. they held signs saying statements like love trumps hate, love the mother mosque, and stop the hate.the members say seeing poltiicians like trump - twist religion to manipulala isn't right.some said the large turnout shows trump's statements don't align with cedar rapids' values.
