lock down of schools and successful capture of ainsworth but his escape is under scrutiny. the sheriff believes maurice ainsworth planned his escape knowing he'd be out of shackles. the loen deputy covering the six seven inch felon was a five foot three inch deputy. today, the sheriff says he will not make knee-jerk permanent changes. >> we do need to reevaluate processes and fix that. i'm not going to say what we did is right and we'll continue to do business as usual because that would be inappropriate. >> the news conference revealed more details about the frightening sequence of events how ainsworth assaulted deputy in the hospital and when she gave chase, wrestled her taser from her in the parking lot. >> he discharge that had taser and shot her in the head.

last week a jury found a neighbor guilty of torturing and abusing the teenager. three defendants who live in the home reached plea deals and are expected to get 30 years in prison. glad to see the teenager is said to be doing well now. >> a class action lawsuit filed against a well known movie chain is aimed at helping the deaf and hearing impaired. they want the same right to enjoy movies as those without hearing disabilities. more than 200 million americans went to the movies last year accord together motion picture association. linda was not one of them. she's deaf. >> my daughter who sings i can no longer hear her sing. >> this 53-year-old lost her hearing late in life. and rick rutherford lost his 11 years ago. >> i used to to go to movies on a weekly basis. it was wonderful. we'd all decide which movie

should we see this week? >> the two are places in a class action lawsuit filed against a movie theater chain which owns century theaters charging that it discriminates against the deaf and those with hearing loss by not providing closed-captioned movies. their attorney says the suit comes on the heels of a ninth circuit court of appeals ruling. >> said that closed captioned films are an aid that theaters need to provide. >> the suit targets the theaters in alameda county where the two live. the lawyers who filed this suit say that about 85% of first-run movies are captioned when delivered to theaters like this one. all of the theaters have to do is install the equipment. >> the cost is around $10,000 for what is called rear window captioning. >> the theater mounts an l.e.d.screen in the back of
