who watched the right tv show today. >> there you can see the 12-year-old girl and 32-year-old kidnapper. >> it was nancy grace that helped crack the case of missing 12-year-old britney smith. she featured britney on her show and urge pleaded for viewers to look for her. a san francisco woman saw grace's show. and then she wept shopping near ocean beach where she spotted 32-year-old jeffrey easley and jeffrey smith. >> the person who contacted police observed a television show on cnn saying these are the people from the show. >> the two were near the grocery carts near the store and they were possibly panhandling. san francisco police took easley into custody without incident and britney is okay. her grandmother says the family is overjoyed. >> thank everybody, bless each

>> four detectives will catch a flight in the morning. they hope to interview easley and personally thank the san francisco shopper. carolyn? >> thanks, amy. a san francisco police officer shot and wounded a man who investigators say refused to stop drinking at a park and put up a fight. it happened this afternoon in garfield square. investigators say the officer approached four men about drinking in public. one scuffled with the officer who shot the man once in the lower body. that man was taken to the hospital, but his injuries are not life-threatening. the officer suffered minor injuries. attorney general eric holder is in the bay area. part of the reason he came was to reach out to the muslim community. holder addressed an organization committed to ending racial and religious profiling. now what the attorney general had to say.

concerning medical marijuana dispense res is heating up in san jose. that's where dozens of people openly lit up tonight and city leaders insist it is off limits. lisa amin gulezian reports from the south bay. >> they are lighting up and smoking out in san jose tonight. it is a fundraiser and unity party at a medical marijuana collective. and it is all in response to a series of raids on pot clubs in santa clara county. >> we are trying to protecting every medical marijuana collective in santa clara county. they raided seven collectives yesterday. >> right now no south bay city allows medical marijuana dispense res to legally operate. >> in your mind what you are doing here is legal? >> 100% legal. >> a lot of people think things are legal that are illegal. >> there are currently 99 pot clubs in san jose and they are all illegal because the city doesn't have a zoning ordinance to allow for them. >> we need to provide more

gulezian, abc7 news. the dmv clerk accused of sending a letter to a woman. the woman was placed on leave with pay back in october when the dmv started investigating. she said she was sent a letter quoting bible verses and begging her not to get a sex change after she went to the office to change her driver's license. she filed a formal complaint. a saddened to something we reported earlier this week. a 90-year-old man missing since tuesday unfortunately has been found dead. the body of robert liechtenstein was discovered this morning on a wooded path near lincoln square at oakland's redwood heights neighborhood. his family thinks he may have had a heart attack during his daily walk. the street preacher accused of cis napping elizabeth smart could face life in prison. a jury jekted the insanity defense.

especially we have a few sprinkles and light showers, but it is done and over with. we are looking at a warmer weekend of high pressure that is real starting to take control of our weather. you can see by the curvature of the clouds, that the higher pressure is pushing the tomorrow track to the north. it is a dry weekend and an unseasonably mild weekend. san francisco's high by sunday, 65 degrees and the average high is 59 for this time of year. 6 degrees warmer than average. gilroy 72 degrees. this is more like spring. 61 is the normal. san jose 68 on sunday. 59 is typically what you would see in december. so 9 degrees above where you should be for this time of year. and we deserve it after all we have seen. but we will see some changes. by sunday fog is developing in the central valley, and the fog will spill over into some of our north and east bay

valleys so those areas will see them drop a few degrees in those communities. tonight fog, cloudiness and in the mid40s to the low 50s. tomorrow afternoon it is a delightful day in the south bay. look at these numbers. it is 66 in cupertino and santa clara. you are looking at mid60s. redwood city, palo alto, mountain view, daily city and down down san francisco is 63 degrees. you get up toward the north bay, and you will see the morning fog giving way to partly sunny skies. 64 in santa rosa. east bay, mid60s for castro valley, oakland. inland area 63 in pittsburgh. livermore, pleasanton, 65 degrees. around the monterey bay, 67 in santa cruz. close to 70 in hollister. 69 there.
