a lone shower showing up around daly city but all looks of it right now, light rain falling in santa clara valley and minimal drizzle into the east bay and also in the north bay. if you are traveling in the sierra we still have snow. it too is starting to taper. >> and across the benicia bridge wind advisories and making your way out towards martinez. so it's pretty quiet on the freeways. go ahead and check out golden gate bridge next, light heading into san francisco. also you'll notice roads are not as damp as yesterday. the traffic flows well and so far no wind advisories. >> eric: rain or shine the amgin tour comes to the bay area today. stage four of the bike race

begins in livermore late this morning and that town couldn't be more excited. terry mcsweeney is live in livermore with more. just to make it more exciting the city of livermore has put $50,000 up to be one of starting points for one of the stages of this amgen tour. rob white is joining me, economic developer for the city. you think you are going to recoup the money? >> i think we'll recoup that. mostly for the homes and obviously for the restaurants and more than full last night. we think we'll see a lunch crowd and revenue from sales. >> how many people are you expecting to be in livermore today? >> we think we'll see 10,000 people lining the route right here in the downtown area and additional thousands on the route. >> reporter: and you expect a return visit? >> we know there will be a

return visit. we know that many folks come back over and over again. we trace the route and we had riders come in last night ahead actually riding in it advance. we think, yes. >> reporter: rob white, thanks a lot for being out here this morning. the race goes to mount hamilton, and down and then atop the eastern foothills outside of san jose. they are trying to make it especially challenging to make it more similar to the tour de france, not quite there but still it's a developing tour, a few years and obviously gaining in popularity. terry mcsweeney, "abc 7 news". >> kristen: you are fired, that is what hundreds of your knowledge go to do to mascot of mcdonald's, ronald mcdonald. >> how is this for getting

attention, a full page ad asking the ceo of mcdonald's to stop marketing to kids. it's appearing in five other newspapers. they are asking to retire the clown. also do away with the toys and happy meals. the letter is backed by more than 550 health professionals and organizations. but mcdonald's released a statement to the wall street journlt saying the restaurant is committed to responsible advertising and they serve high quality food. that is not all. the fight over the toys goes on. here in san francisco and santa clara county lawmakers were successful at banning toys in happy meals but lawmakers in other states are struggling in their fight against the toys. l.a. times is reporting there is a trend happening across the country, lobbyists for the fast food restaurants are aggressively lobbying against the effort and they are winning. feeling from the restaurants is parents should decide not the

this morning. >> eric: it could be breezy on a couple of bay area bridges. mike has a look at the forecast. >> we are gusting around 20-25 miles an hour mainly around the bay shore and out to the coast. you can see a few scattered sprinkles and heavier rain up into the area around mount hamilton where we're going to find the best chances of rain for your morning commute. sfo gusting to 21 and hayward gusting up to 23 and san jose about 13. stepping out, temperatures in the upper 40s to low 50s. los gatos 46 degrees and we do have a few scattered showers that are possible. you can see green around mount hamilton but a better chance up around the north bay mountains where during the afternoon hours we got moisture in the air and moisture on the ground. upper 50s relocation to mid-60s

around the bay and mid to upper 60s as we head inland. higher elevations around the monterey bay and inland, also we could see a scattered shower. 59 around monitored ray. here is your accu-weather seven-day forecast and tomorrow and friday completely dry as is most of saturday but the breezes warph trend on saturday and a slight chance of a shower on saturday night into sunday as the systems passes to our north. once it's gone, monday and tuesday we will dry and close to average. traffic looking great on the freeway. you heard terry in livermore and some of streets are blocked. expect some road street closures for the stage four amgen tour of california leaving livermore and heading down to san jose. there will be rolling closures from 11:00 to about 4:00 where they'll end in san jose. some of the major routes, roads affected in san jose, alum rock.

and low to mid-50s for you. mid to upper 50s and breezy along the beaches. north bay beaches, breezy, mid to upper 50s but ten degrees mid to upper 50s around the valleys and monterey bay inland, most of us in the mid to upper 60s. mid to upper 50s for you. heading to the coliseum 7:05 first pitch with cool conditions and breezy conditions. 58 dropping down to 53 and twins are in town play today and tomorrow. let's look at the temperatures tonight and notice how they are cooler, mid to upper 40s in inland valleys. low 50s out to the coast. patchy fog and a little cloud cover but clear this morning, that is why it will be cooler. trough of low pressure and chunk of energy and extension purposes through and that is why we'll see most of showers down to the south and east. that is why they are moving away to the south and east.

during the afternoon hours, you see the showers develop around lake county. some could move into the east bay neighborhoods. during the overnight hours we wake up to clear sky and sunshine tomorrow. temperatures, some of the warmest will evidence this week. then the sea breeze returns, brings us cloud and cooler conditions for saturday and random shower is possible on sunday. drier and warmer on monday and tuesday. still can't find any problems out there, but just wanted to remind you, with amgen tour in livermore, rolling street closures from livermore out to san jose. it starts at 11:00 and continues until about 4:00 this afternoon but notice on the freeways, it's even green as you make your way through the altamont pass into pleasanton and again look out for more rolling closures in the south bay. they go through about 4:00 in had afternoon.
