right away, the breaking news. the u.s. closed a border crossing with tijuana as migrants kroemigrant s overwhelmed migrants. tensions are rising at that border. you can see there are dozens of officers on the u.s. side. the situation between the two groups is changing by the hour with reports of violence. we have new details. >> u.s. customs and border patrol bringing in extra personnel. president trump threatening to shut down the u.s. border with mexico. chaos on the u.s. border with border patrol agents. some migrants were invel lenv i

enveloped in tear gas. many hoped to apply for asylum in the u.s. president trump is critical tweeting, would be smart if mexico would stop the caravan or if originating countries would not let them form. it's a way to get certain people out of their country and dump in the u.s., no longer. the white house did not deny a report that the administration is close to a deal with mexico requiring asylum seekers to wait in mexico while their application is being processed. mexican officials saying there's no agreement of any sort between the incoming mexican government and the u.s. government. the president has threatened to shut down the u.s. border. >> we will close entry into the country for a period of time until we can get it under

control. >> a small rally in san francisco. this group from the answer coalition called for the u.s. to grant asylum to those who are seeking it. >> the u.s. is acting like they are being invaded. it's a complete lie. >> migrants protesting are demanding to have their asylum request processed. they are struggling to accommodate a crush of migrants. a body was recovered today. abc 7 news was there as fire and police responded. they say some fishermen called 911 after spotting a body a mile out from the beach. officials have not said if it's connected to the man who disappeared on friday while swimming or of a missing man whose car was found last night near rockaway beach. a san jose man faces charges in connect with a deadly hit and

run. police say he hit a woman crossing capital expressway outside of a crosswalk. officials say the driver tried to leave the scene but witnesses stopped him. new details in a fatal crash involving a chp vehicle. the woman who died yesterday morning is a 72-year-old woman. the sheriff's office says she lost control of her car and hit a chp vehicle that was stopped for an unrelated traffic crash. chp officers say wet roads likely played a role. in developing news, the 49ers took on the buccaneers in tampa without linebacker reuben foster. instead, he appeared in a courtroom following an arrest on a domestic violence charge. >> reporter: no second chances for reuben foster. the 49ers released the 24-year-old linebacker sunday after he was arrested in tampa, florida, for domestic violence.

local fans who gathered to watch the game weren't surprised by the team's decision. >> there's no room for that in any business or any lifestyle. i hope he can figure it out. >> reporter: foster was taken into custody after a verbal altercation turned physical. plea she's the same woman who earlier this year accused foster of domestic violence but then admitted she made the entire story up. charges in that case were dropped. at the time, a legal analyst had this to say about her testimony. >> this was obviously a person that is very troubled, has a lot of issues. that played out today in this courtroom. it was very painful to watch. >> reporter: last night, officers who arrested foster at the team hotel saw a one inch scratch on her left collarbone. in documents, police said the victim stated the defendant

slapped her phone out of her hand, pushed her in the chest with one hand and slapped her with another open hand on the left side of her face. fans disappointed with foster for again making headlines off the field. >> he is constantly putting himself in situations that are bad. it becomes a sooner or later thing. i understand consider they cut. >> reporter: foster posted bail and has been released from jail. a judge ordered him to avoid contact with the victim. >> we sent out an alert about this at 6:00 this morning on the abc 7 news app. you can download the app and customize it for breaking news where you live. in other news, police are searching for a man they say broke into a home and sexually assaulted a woman inside. it happened just before 6:00 this morning at blake and dana streets just about a block from telegraph avenue. police say the victim did not know the suspect. he is described as an african-american 20 to 30 years

old, about 5'6" with a medium build. he was clean shaven with balding or short hair. he was wearing a polo orange on top with horizontal stripes on the bottom. anyone with information is asked to call berkeley police. no one was hurt after a shooting at a short-term rental in the south bay. a sheriff's office says deputies responded to reports of gunfire at a home in unincorporated san jose last night. several people were seen running from the house. deputies found bullet fragments and casings inside the home and say it appears someone opened fire from outside. several people were detained but no arrests have been made. the deadliest and most destructive fire in california history is fully contained. the camp fire started on november 8 and cal fire reports 100% containment today. last night, the death toll went up again with the number now standing at 85 people.

happening right now, water is being restored to customers in redwood city's bear island. this is conventional way and main street. the city says an older connection failed and has been replaced. abc 7 news was in oakland where part of a tree fell across highway 13. two cars were hit near park boulevard just after 10:00 in the morning. lanes were closed while firefighters cleared branchs off the road which caused a traffic backup. no one was hurt. it may be sunday, but you can snag cyber monday holiday deals today. amazon is offering some deals. there's more for prime members. cost didn costco has offers that expire

we talked enough about the oncoming rain. let's look at what's happening. we have a few high clouds around right now. we have lingering thin patches of fog around today. right now, skies are bright. this is the view here at abc 7 over the bay. current temperatures, 57 in san francisco. oakland, 58. 60 in mountain view. 55 in half moon bay. here is a view of the golden gate. earlier, we had fog here. it's gone now. clear skies looking northward. traffic flowing nicely. 59 in santa rosa. napa 57. 63 in concord. one more live view in downtown san francisco looking along the bay bridge. it will be dry and mild tomorrow with sun and high clouds. next round of rain on tuesday. it's going to be wet and windy by the middle of the week. overnight, mainly clear skies.

we may see patchy fog in the inland valleys. low temperatures will drop into the upper 30s around lakeport. low 40s over the north bay. 50 the low in san francisco. tomorrow, again, high clouds but sunny skies. high temperatures will be on the mild side. 62 at half moon bay. mid 60s around the bay shoreline. 65 at oakland. san jose, mid to upper 60s as well. let's bring in the storm impact scale. the first wave, only one on the impact scale. that will come in tuesday with light to moderate rainfall. highest rainfall totals will be in the north bay. look for a tenth of an inch in areas that don't get much rain to a quarter in the north bay. from 5:00 a.m. tuesday to 5:00 p.m. tuesday, we will see the rain moving south and east covering most of the bay area by

the evening commute. a little break and then wednesday morning, another storm comes in. that moves through rather quickly. wednesday night, a stronger, more intense storm starts to develop. moves in overnight through thursday. that will be strong, gusty winds, locally heavy downpours and some localized flooding if it's as heavy as it appears. by friday, clearing. here is the seven-day forecast. midweek brings wet weather. light rain on tuesday. light to moderate rain on wednesday. then wet and windy conditions beginning wednesday night and continuing through the day on thursday. partial clearing friday. there's a chance of a lingering shower or two early friday morning. even on saturday, there's a slight chance. the wet weather pattern is not going to end necessarily at the end of the week. >> appreciate it. thanks. everybody talking reuben foster. >> yeah, it has been a difficult day for the 49ers off the field. also on the field as well.

the 49ers found out a few hours before today's game that reuben foster was no longer on the team after last night's arrest on suspicion of domestic violence. their day didn't get any easier. jimmy ward broke his forearm early in the game. san francisco's offense struggled to score. who knew that pirates could

actually use social media so well. second quarter, 49ers down 7-0. mullens down the middle. that's his second touchdown of the season. third quarter, he came that close. that set up second and goal. could not get one more. mullens on the keeper. that set up a 49ers field goal. the buccaneers score. that made it tampa 20-9 in front. tampa bay having quarterback issues this year. no trouble for winston today. he threw for 312 yards and two touchdown passes.is one to hump score. winston was sacked once. mullens had 221 yards passing, a touchdown and two picks. it was a difficult one for the 49ers. they lost 27-9 the final. >> no one played well,

especially in the pass game. we did do good things in the run game. all around, we didn't do good enough. >> watch the tape and go back to work. it's frustrating. we thought we had a chance. we had our chances and we didn't take advantage of them. a lot of that starts with me. >> the raiders in baltimore taking on the ravens. oakland trailed by 3 at the half. in the third quarter, jackson extended baltimore's lead with that five-yard touchdown score. he had 71 yards rushing. carr responded, this is his only touchdown pass of the game. he actually under throws cook a little bit. look at cook's great one-handed grab. that's one of the few highlights for the raiders this year. they trailed by three again. jackson threw for 178 yards. the fourth quarter he hits, former raider michael crabtree for the eight-yard touchdown. then baltimore's defense finished it. carr was sacked on back-to-back plays.

let's get to breaking news coming out of san diego. the port of entry has reopened to vehicle and pedestrian traffic. the border crossing was shut down after authorities used tear gas on hundreds of migrants who tried to enter the u.s. illegally. we will have the latest at 6:00. also, the rush to get home after the thanksgiving holiday. hampered by bad weather in the midwest. how it's affecting things in the bay area. fans of the oakland zoo's gibbon have less than two days to say good-bye. the 35-year-old is heading to the santa barbara zoo tuesday to
