light winds and clear skies responsible for the very cold temps after just making it to the mid 40s yesterday. .......... right now... the air is dry and temps are just getting into the mid 40s around the valley... and some mid to low 40s outside the valley. places like rachel and ely dropped to the very cold minus teens this morning. ......... the weak storm pushing into californi yesterday fell apart as it hit the sierra and never made it into nevada and we never even really saw high clouds from it. .... now a ridge of high pressure will keep building into the west into the weekend and that will build up warmer temps each day and then finally get us back to
