((sharie johnson)) the attorney behind this case is a high-profile attorney... and a las vegas native who is a product of the clark county school district. robert eglet. before i run down the lawsuit... let me give you the background of the teacher at the center of the controversy. you might remember jeremiah mazo. he was first arrested in 2008 by north las vegas police for allegedly molesting students. at that time he taught at simmons elementary school. the case was dismissed because of a lack of evidence. ccsd transferred him to hayden elementary. but last year... he was arrested again.. pleading guilty to lesser charges... sentenced to 60 years in prison. parents of alleged victims filed the suit... believing the district should have warned all parents of mazo's past... preventing inapproprate sex acts at school.
