they now say they may turn themselves in this morning. ((kirsten joyce)) as all this was going on.. nevada rancher cliven bundy decided to head to oregon. he was arrested.. after touching down in portland. ((brian loftus)) we have live team coverage.. on both the situation in oregon.. and bundy's arrest. let's first go to reporter andrew dymburt in burns. andrew dymburt on cam) this is as close to the refuge as we can get... behind me is an fbi checkpoint that was set up a couple of weeks ago. now the fbi says that all of this recent activity started on wednesday afternoon around 430 when one of the occupants decided to get on an atv heading towards this checkpoint, but then suddenly turned around at a high rate of speed... heading back into the refuge. (vo) as far as what we've seen, we noticed some white lights coming out of the refuge... which is really strange because usually it's pitch black around here. we also noticed an ambulance parked in the area for about 30 maybe 45 minutes before heading back into town. it did not go inside of the refuge. (on cam) there's also been a live audio stream of the four

the holdouts have said continuously that they will not leave until all charges are dropped. i'm andrew dymburt, reporting in burns, oregon for cbs news. kirsten joyce > as we mentioned... cliven bundy traveled to oregon yesterday.. and was arrested.. right after his plane touched down. ((brian loftus)) 8 news now reporter michael stevens is in the newsroom.. michael... what have you learned about bundy's arrest? ((michael stevens)) brian and kirsten.. the f-b-i took bundy into custody right after his plane landed.. for a federal hold. the 74-year-old is currently being held in multnomah county jail.. and the f-b-i is temporarily witholding his booking photo. one passenger on his flight.. didn't realize who he was.. until the f-b-i showed up at the gate. ((jared green/passenger on bundy's flight: i saw the tall guy in cowboy hat talking on his phone about burns oregon and i figured maybe its a lawyer or something, i just put together its clive bundy.

((brian loftus)) > metro police say a woman killed her longtime boyfriend with a shotgun... but she might not face charges. it happened last night near 215 and lone mountain. police say she told them she was the victim of a domestic violence situation... and had been hit. investigators are working to determine where the shotgun blast was fired from... and whether the man was shot in the back or the chest. those results could determine whether charges are filed./// ((kirsten joyce)) > we should find out more information today... on a lawsuit against the clark county school district... alleging it failed to protect students from a teacher with a history of sex abuse. it all stems from jeremiah mazo... he was first arrested in 2008 by

((michael stevens)) brian, kirsten... records show bundy was booked into jail just before 11- last night... but it's not clear... why the rancher was arrested in the first place. but we are hearing it could be connected to charges stemming from 2014. bundy's arrest is the latest event to unfold in the on-going federal lands stand-off in oregon. yesterday... the f-b-i says it moved to contain the last few occupiers of an oregon wildlife refuge who were part of a protest that began more than a month ago over federal land policy. the scene played out last night via an open phone line being livestreamed on the internet by an acquaintance of one of the occupiers. yesterday... nevada assembly woman michelle fiore traveled to oregon to help peacefully end the 40-day occupation. here she is... pleading with the last four

let their pets share their bed with them... but should they? a recent study by the mayo clinic is challenging the idea that animals in the bedroom can mess with your sleep. don champion has the story. patricia (patree-shia) sullivan had canine company in bed as soon as she brought home her first puppy. ( patricia sullivan/dog owner) he started to cry, and whimper and i felt sorry for him and i put him on my bed and he curled up in a ball and he was asleep and he's been there ever since. sleep experts have long thought that pets in the bedroom are disruptive to a person's sleep but a recent mayo clinic survey found 41 percent of sleep patients who share their beds with their animals find it beneficial. (dr. lois krahn/sleep specialist at the mayo clinic in arizona) if having a pet nearby helps them feel relaxed and gives them a sense of security, which permits

difficulty, then i think that is something that does deserve attention. 20 percent of respondents however, admitted their pets interrupted their sleep. study author doctor lois krahn (krahhn) says there are many things pet owners need to consider.
