inside this house and shot the man living inside. he's in serious condition at the hospital. the suspects are on the loose. police say it happened early saturday morninig in this neighborhood. what's alarming about this case is that there were three children inside the house when it all went down. neighbors tell us two little girls and a boy live inside at the home. right now police are working to track down the suspects. detectives say the male suspect has short or shaved blond hair. the female suspect is described as a white or hispanic with blakc hear wearing all black clothing. police belive the suspects are both in their late 20's or in their 30's. henderson police say this home invasion does not appear to be random. mauricio marin...8 news now./// ((patranya bhoolsuwan)) investigators urge anyone with information about this case... to call henderson police or crimestoppers with any tips./// ((patranya bhoolsuwan)) > metro police say the police dog that was attacked by a suspect with a machete after a long standoff last week ...

meteorologist tony smith is back with our forecast. (( )) here's more on our next chance of rain -- a system will approach the california coast southwest flow across the region. given the deeper mixing through the afternoon, believe wednesday will likely be the warmest day for most locations. southwest winds will be gusty and could be fairly strong across the sierra nevada from thursday morning. your 8 news now team will keep an eye on the forecast strength and the potential for some downsloping into valley. there is still some model disagreement with the system as it moves inland. --------------- ----------------------- ------------- one model remains weaker with the trough than the european, which has implications on the timing as well as coverage of precipitation. another system shows a little slower and a little more generous with the rain than previous one, yet both models agree the precip should be quickly ending if not already dry by thursday night. --------- ----------------------------- ------------- even with the timing and precip differences, the overall picture still indicates that the greatest precip chances should be confined to areas north and west
