((patranya bhoolsuwan)) > good morning everyone, i am patranya bhoolsuwan we start with breaking news from overnight... a bicyclist is dead after an early morning crash. it happened on saint rose parkway near the i-15 at around 1-30. n-h-p says an off road vehicle and a bicyclist collided. the personon the bike died at the scne. the 28-year-old off road driver was taken to the hospital with non life threatening injuries. n-h-p says that driver is being investigated for driving under the influence and the bicyclist was doing everything he could to be seen: ((trooper chelsea stuenkel, nhp: 02:24.17 someone's not going home to their family tonight. 02:24.24 he had a reflective vest, flashing lights, notifying drivers, trying to make himself visible.

struck by an offroad vehicle )) nhp says the off road vehicle is not allowed on streets. part of saint rose parkway and the onramp to i-15 were closed for hours during the investigation./// ((patranya bhoolsuwan)) > a pedestrian is in critical early this morning. it happened at around 2 at charleston and maryland parkway. police say a person in a dark car hit the pedestrian...and took off. poilce say the pedestrian was jaywalking at the time. a witness followed the suspect's vehicle and the driver was taken into custody. the pedestrian was taken to u-m-c ... the area was also shut down during the investigation./// ((patranya bhoolsuwan)) > this morning... metro police are investigating after a dead body was found at the d hotel overnight. police say the call came in a little after two this morning... no word on where the body was found or the cause of death. we'll update you as soon as we find out./// ((patranya bhoolsuwan)) > a man is behind bars...who police say shot and killed two women friday

police arrested 30-year-old omar talley yesterday on murder charges. police say killed 27 year old melissa yvette mendoza and 27 year old jennifer margarita chicas. the two died early friday morning outside the cosmopolitan hotel. metro police are still searching for the vehicle involved with this crime. if you have any information... you're asked to call crimestoppers. /// ((patranya bhoolsuwan)) > the first in the west caucus is now over...and hillary clinton is the official winner. with nearly all the precints now reporting... clinton took 53 percent while her opponent vermont senator bernie sanders came out with 47 percent of the vote clinton thanked her supporters during a victory rally: ((( hillary clinton/(d) presidential candidate, "this is your campaign, and it is, it is a campaign to break down every barrier that holds you back. we're going to build ladders of

that every american can go as far as your hard work will take you." )) ((patranya bhoolsuwan)) there were 35 delegates up for grabs in nevada. clinton's win in nevada means she will get the majority of the state's delegates. she will gain at least 18 and sanders will pick up at least 14. he also addressed his supporters during last night's rally: (( bernie sanders, democratic candidate:a little while ago i call up secretary clinton and congratulated her and he staff for the victory here in nevada. they ran a very aggressive effective campaign and i applaud them for their efforts. )) sanders also highlighted the grounds he made up in iowa, new hampshire, and now here in nevada. now sanders is focused on south carolina's democratic primary which is happening in about a week... then it's on to super tuesday where he says he's looking

((patranya bhoolsuwan)) > on the other side of the aisle... donald trump has picked up his second consecutive primary win with an apparent victory in south carolina. cbs news projects the billionaire to be the winner of that state's primary and another candidate has suspended his campaign. cbs's craig boswell has more. cbs news projects donald trump has won the south carolina republican primary. trump came out ahead of marco rubio and ted cruz, who finished in a virtual tie for second place. "i want to begin by thanking the people of south carolina. this is a special state." jeb bush finished in the bottom three. he told supporters this was his last primary as a 2016 presidential candidate. "the people of iowa, new hampshire and south carolina have spoken and i really respect their decision. so tonight, i am suspending my campaign." (gets emotional) south carolina voters said the most important quality in a

and they said the most important issue is terrorism. for cruz and rubio, a strong finish in south carolina means momentum heading into super tuesday on march first, when almost 600 delegates are at stake. ( cruz) "we can stand together with a proven, consistent, constitutional conservative and bring back morning in america." newsnow, weekend edition ((patranya bhoolsuwan)) > police are investigating...a fter six people were shot and killed in kalamazoo michigan yesterday. police say they arrested a suspect...who opened fire at three different locations... a cracker barrel restaurant, a ford dealership, and an apartment complex. two other people were injured in the shooting, including a teenage girl. police say the suspect didn't resist arrest and weapons were found in his vehicle./// ((patranya bhoolsuwan)) > metro police are searching for a shooter...who killed a man early yesterday morning. it happened at lake mead and marrion... police say a man was walking when he was confronted by a suspect and shot... he was taken to the hospital where he died. police say he may have been the victim of a robbery... this is the 23rd homicide in metro's jurisdiction this

after the country was struck by the strongest storm ever recorded in the southern hemisphere. tropical cyclone winston hit with winds of nearly 180-miles-an- hour saturday. the storm brought heavy flooding... flattening trees and knocking out power across the nation. a nationwide curfew is in effect until tomorrow morning, so workers can try to clear the roads and restore power./// ((patranya bhoolsuwan)) > let's get a check of our weather here in the valley... tony smith is here with more. pressure is expected to develop over the area during the next 48 hours keeping well above normal temperatures along with light winds over most areas. expect winds to increase into the 15-25 mph range sunday. the models indicate the ridge strengthening monday off the west coast with a piece of energy diving southeast along the front side of the ridge.
