are dead and more than a dozen are hurt... after a shooting spree in south- central kansas. it all happened inside of "excel industries"... which makes lawn mower products. a law enforcement source identified the suspect to cbs news. they say..38- year-old cedric ford opened fire on his employees.. before being killed by police. he died after being shot by police. one of his neighbor's worked with him. that man's wife.. was shocked when she learned her neighbor was the gunman. (( victim's wife: "i'm just glad i heard my husband's voice, but i won't be happy until i see him in person. you know? i feel like i'm in a nightmare right now, you know? i just can't believe that the guy that shot people up lived right across the street from us." ))

police say the shooter used a long gun in the shooting. they still haven't identified a shooter. /// ((brian loftus)) > metro police responded to a string of shootings... responded to a string of shootings... with one turning deadly. the deadly shooting happened at a home near twain and boulder highway. property managers were told someone was inside.. that wasn't supposed to be. so they went to check it out. a fight ensued... and one of the property managers shot the suspect. he later died at the hospital. police haven't said if the shooting was in self defense... but the property manager did have a concealed carry permit. we'll let you know as soon as we get more information on the investigation./// ((brian loftus)) > another shooting happened near cambridge and twain. police say the victim was standing near a car when he was shot. he then ran down cambridge... near the boys and girls club. hospital... but we don't know his condition. the boys and girls club does not case. police say it appears this was /// ((kirsten joyce)) > from the south...

company lyft is filing a lawsuit against the city of las vegas. lyft claims the city is trying to collect what it calls --quote-- "an outrageously high tax".... that the city does not have the authority to do. lyft says there was a legislation passed last year... prohibiting fees las vegas wants to charge. we reached out to the city... and were told their people have yet to see the lawsuit. lyft will be able to object to the ordinance at the city council meeting... on march 16th. /// ((kirsten joyce)) > a new kind of church is using arcade machines... to bring people together.

brothers behind it are turning their gaming obsession... into a weekly congregation. they repurposed an old church.. into an arcade community. the brother started collecting arcade machines 10 years ago.. they made a deal with a vendor and got 140 machines.. so.. after being cited by the city for building code violations.. they found a loophole.. if they were inside a church... they wouldn't be fined. so.. methodist church... and transformed it. in order to keep the tax exempt status.. they had to have a religion.. so naturally, the brothers founded the jedi alliance... from star wars./// /// > we'll be right back........///
