trying to cross the road, near lake mead and civic center. north las vegas police say a motorcyclist struck a pedestrian. the victim was transported to u-m-c, where she later died. the motorcyclist only suffered minor injuries... police are urging everyone to use the crosswalk... not neglect it: (( aaron patty/nlvpd: "this is a good reminder for everyone in the valley, if you see that painted crosswalk at the corner of the street, it's a good idea to walk to it because it could save your life." )) ((kirsten joyce)) not factors in the crash. this is the 12th deadly crash in north las vegas' jurisdiction. /// ((kirsten joyce)) >> the manhunt for a north las vegas murder suspect reaches day four. in handcuffs... breaks free... takes off and is nowhere to be found? as of this morning 25-year-old alonso perez remains on the loose. north las vegas police say the 25-year-old was in an interview room shortly after his arrest on friday. they say he turned the handcuffs until he broke free while a detective was out of the room. he then allegedly stole a truck and took-off. stolen pick-up... but not perez. perez is suspected in the deadly shooting of 31-year-old mohammad robinson. the young father was shot and killed august 27th near a mcdonalds at north las vegas boulevard and pecos. police say he has an air jordan logo tattoo on the side of his neck. police say he is considered armed and dangerous.

pool last week. according to a department of family services report... the child was pulled from the pool unresponsive. she was taken to a hospital, where she later died. also noted in the report... neglect allegations at the family's home dating back to 2006 -- three of those happened just this year./// ((brian loftus)) the first female clark county commissioner, thalia dondero... has passed away. the clark county coroner's office confirmed dondero died of heart failure on sunday. she was the first woman to serve as a commissioner when she was elected in 1974... where she served for 20- years. she also oversaw mccarran's expansion and flood control projects. dondero was 96-years-old. ///

roundaboutt school. there have been accidents and some damage done to the decorative rock too. the county says thy are going to repair the damage and relocate a sign that is obstructed in the area. the county says they have been monitoring traffic flow through this roundabout and have request increased enforcement from metro. right now, the county is collecting feedback, and advises that you send an email or contact county commissioner chris giunchigliani. this intersection has been plagued by speeding and car races. based on input from the

northern nevada and in kuwait... are marking the anniversary of the mass shooting. soldiers and airmen will take part in a memorial walk today.. and run from the i-hop restaurant to the guard complex to honor the lives lost. three guard members were killed in that shooting... along with a south lake tahoe resident. seven others were hurt. the 33- year- old gunman killed himself... he had been previously diagnosed with paranoid schizophrenia./// ((kirsten joyce)) right now.. we want to get a check on your forecast. ((michael stevens)) >> brian, kirsten... a lot of people have been wondering... how does a murder suspect get away from police while being questioned wearing handcuffs? north las vegas police say the 25-year-old was in an interview room shortly after his arrest on friday. they say he turned the handcuffs until he broke free while a detective was out of the room. he then allegedly stol on saturday, police found the stolen pick-up... but not perez. the 25-year-old is suspected in shooting 31-year-old mohammed robinson late last month. as bizarre as this story might sound... it's not the first time something like this has happened in recent months. back in april, a 39-year-old man escaped from metro's custody after police say an officer interrogating him left the room and locked it... but apparently the lock was broken, allowing him to slip out: ((tommy burns/security
