hurricane newton slammed into the twin resorts of los cabos and the southwestern u-s will is next. newton made landfall as a category one storm with winds up to 90 miles per hour... pelting cabo san lucas with heavy rain -- tossing debris around and blowing down several trees. the storm is being blamed for three deaths. it then moved inland... dumping rain over the mainland./// ((brian loftus)) as tropical storm hermine pounds the new england coast... officials are still hard at work keeping folks out of the water.
