((nia wong)) >> good morning brian and kirsten. the fbi is questioning several people in connection to that blast in new york city. as of this morning...they're focusing on one suspect on the loose. the fbi is now looking for this man - 28 year old ahmad khan rahami.

the start of a major construction project. ((brian loftus)) >> n-dot will be widening i-15 north between craig road and speedway boulevard. 8 news now reporter michael stevens is live this morning with what's expected. good morning, michael? >> brian, kirsten... it's a 34-million dollar project... and construction will take place on a very heavily traveled stretch of roads. as you mentioned n-dot says they'll be widening i-15 between craig and speedway boulevard in north las vegas. the project will transition the 5-miles stretch of highway from 4 to 6 lanes in both directions. listen to these numbers... n-dot says about 41-thousand cars travel this path

the charleston curve has been a pain in your commute for years. the interchange isn't big enough and traffic can get really backed up in the area, and the state wants to propose its solution to you.... thursday evening, the state will hold an open house regarding improvements for the 95/charleston interchange.

them in? mayor andy hafen one of the things we try to do is promote our 'premiere' status if you will. we try to promote the quality of life, we're business friendly. our economic development team is the best. they're out there interviewing people, recruiting people, they're got programs going on, they've got conferences. a lot of work for them to do, but it's been very successful, we have 2 chick-fil-a's coming up this year, and another costco in west henderson in 2018. racetrack road is being constructed from boulder hwy clear out to lake mead, a lot of construction there. started in january, we'll finish in september. we'll have a new bridge at newport going across the wash. residents in that area should be happy with us. in anthem, we have volunteer, we're widening that, we're repaving executive, we've got a lot of things going on there. and paseo verde, a big east- west street in henderson. a lot of construction going on there ((kirsten joyce)) it is good stuff, i've seen a lot of houses also go up on stephanie too, the new starbucks and around the park there. mayor andy hafen you bet!
