lakes plaza shopping center located at rancho and washington. - when fire crews showed up they say the fire was trapped between two roofs in the gangway of the complex. - lvf&r are calling this a 3 alarm fire. - a small portion of rancho is closed down. it should reopen by 5:30am. - no injuries. - cause is under - the fire is out. crews will begin to wrap up shortly. gusts have calmed down some --we're still seeing some breezy and cooler conditions this morning across clark county. ................... right now we're looking at temps in the mid 60s--so nicnd we'll climb to temps in the mid 80s this afternoon with cooler conditions expected the next couple of days. .................... radar and satellite looking mostly quiet--still seeing remnants of paine which funneled mositure mainly to the south and east of us.... that trough that's over the desert sw is the main contributer of gusty winds across the area especially yesterday.

((kirsten joyce)) protesters filled the streets again for a third night... in charlotte, north carolina. they called for justice.. and demanded to see the video.. of the deadly police shooting. family members of keith scott... who was shot and killed.. privately saw the video. they say they can't tell weapon.. like police claim: (( justin bamberg/scott family attorney: "what you see, anderson, is you see officers yelling commands, you see mr. scott step out of the vehicle. his hands are down by his side. he is acting calm. he's acting in a very nonaggressive manner. he looks to be confused, to be quite honest. you do see something in his hand, but it's impossible to make out from the video what it is. i do know that at the moment that he was shot, he actually appeared to be stepping backwards." )) ((kirsten joyce))

not release the video.. because the investigation is ongoing. /// ((kirsten joyce)) a tulsa, oklahoma police officer is out of jail... on 50- thousand dollars bond. she's facing manslaughter charges... in the shooting death of a black man. officer betty shelby is accused of killing terence crutcher.. after his car broke down... he was tased then fatally shot, even though police say video shows his hands were up. her attorney says she believed crutcher was acting strange.. and ignored her commands... she says she was afraid he was reaching for a weapon.. and that's when she shot him. the racial tension across the country has spilled into the las vegas district court. public defender erica ballou respected judge douglas herndon's instructions... for her not to wear her black lives matter pin in the courtroom. hernson called it a political viewpoint... two other public defenders continued to express what they say... is their "first amendment right" against an unfair justice system: ((sarah hawkins dep public defender: i believe that these buttons don't ask for different treatment of african american people, what it asks for is equal treatment african americans are disproportionately prosecuted ))

laguardia airport was evacuated.. after a car was left unattended. this is cellphone video of the car being towed at terminal- b. the incident caused some confusion throughout the airport... including hundreds of passengers waiting in long lines.. not knowing where to go. the vehicle is now being investigte /// ((kirsten joyce)) an arkansas teen is being accused of giving a toddler marijuana to smoke.... and he posted it on his facebook page. in the video... the teen hands over -- what he says -- is marijuana.. to his three- year- old nephew... encouraging him to smoke it. police investigating this case say.. it appears the toddler may have been exposed to the substance before.. just by the way the child is holding it. the toddler remains in the care of family. prosecutors plan to charge the 17-year-old as an adult. /// ((brian loftus)) it's being considered one

yahoo says personal info from a half billion accounts was stolen in a digital break-in. yahoo blames the breach on "state-sponsored" hackers. it's not just email the company says users of yahoo fantasy sports and yahoo finance are part of the breach. the hacked data includes users' names, email addresses, and birthdates... but not payment card data or bank account information. yahoo is recommending that users change their passwords.// tesla is updating its auto-pilot system... doesn't keep their hands on the wheel... forcing the driver to take full control of the car. the self-driving system has been under scrutiny after at least one deadly crash involving a tesla on autopilot.// brian and kirsten? roadway project in henderson...or so we thought.... another round of closures go into effect next week as crews tiu from 9pm to 6am monday through thursday, there will be ramp closures and lane restrictions at the us 95/russell interchange because of this project. overnight, the russell ramp to sb 95 will close down. crews will also close down a southbound lane in the area. this is all happening so crews can install lighting on overhead signs. you may want to merge on at galleria drive as an alternate while the russell on-ramp is closed. what's driving you crazy?
