tracked down to a c-v-s near the south end of the strip. we are tracking this deadly shooting which led to a bizarre standoff with team coverage. brittany edney is near sahara and i-15 where the shooting reportedly took place. first.... lets go to nia wong who's near windmill and las vegas blvd. where the suspect was eventually apprehended. cvs...where it appears words are exchanged between him and police. a few minutes later...he puts his hands up and is on the ground....when police send a k-9 unit on him. shooting happened here near 1-15 and sahara. so far, they know at least 3 vehicles were hit-- that includes the car carrying the female passenger, in her late 40's--she died a few hours later at u-m-c. and the male driver, in his 50's, is in stable condition. police say they believe the pair was hit in thi where the car crashed into a barrier. 2 bullets hit a semi truck... that driver pulled off the road a bit later and called authorities-- he's ok. another vehicle was hit with three bullets-- no injuries there either. i can tell you traffic was shut down for about an hour from sahara to spring mountain as officers walked that area--searching for evidence. metro says they did find a few pieces of possible evidence--they're still working to confirm that it's connected
