((nia wong)) let's take a closer look at congressional district four. the race between incumbent republican cresent hardy and state senator ruben kihuen. kihuen unsead to 48... he now will jump from the state senate to the u-s house of representatives. ((nia wong)) >> kihuen addressed his supporters at the aria conference room last night. you've got to understand since kihuen announced he was running for this seat 19 months ago...he has had the backing of senator harry reid as well as the culinary union. kihuen is nevada's first latino congressman...a nd acknowledged his roots as the son of a former farmworker and housekeeper at his victory rally: (( ruben kihuen: "i want to say thank you to every single one of you who took the time to make calls, to canvass door to door, who gave a dollar to this campaign, thanks to you we won this congressional race." ))

((brian loftus)) >> thanks always for joining us sheriff let's get right into it..... this is questions is for susie "if the raiders come to las vegas, what's the plan for security for the games? will it be provided by metro or a private company." ((sheriff joe lombardo)) >> that's a great question, but the answer is both. it's a private security for those type of venues in otherwords the nrs covers what the security plan has to be. so depending on the venues the thomas and mack and the other events. the nrs says you have to hire a police officer for every 400 fans or customers, but they provide security and they hire us for a

the taxpayers aren't paying for the security associated for that kind of event they provide the funds to pay for that security personell. ((sheriff joe lombardo)) >> that's correct, and i've noticed it myself too. so i've given a directive to our bureau commanders to address it. on the roadway. it's not illegal to be homeless, it's not illegal to solicit homes. but it is illegal to be out on the roadways and cause traffic obstructions. so i've gotten the bureau commanders to address it because it is a quality of life issue some people seem threatend when they approach the vehicles and part of their directive is to address it. so hopefully we do get a handle
