officers were involved in a shooting with a ((brian loftus)) >> this began just after 11-o'clock last night when officers spotted 18-year-old daniel prichard driving an unregistered car near bonanza and nellis. police tell us... officers tried pulling him over, but he took off. officers then spotted the car again a short time later, near stewart and sandhill. police say they tried talking with prichard ... but that's when he drove his car towards the officer who then opened fire. the suspect was not shot .. and no officers were injured. prichard was arrested and is now being held at the clark county

this man .. accused of driving drunk and killing two brothers ... is expected to make his first court appearance this morning. 25-year-old willie wortham faces several charges including dui involving death ... and reckless driving involving death. the crash happened saturday night .. near smoke ranch and rainbow. friends and family created a memorial last night ... to remember jermaine asher and robert sean roberts./// ((kirsten joyce)) this morning .. we've learned the north las vegas fire captain who died after a massive fire .... passed away from natural causes. the coroner says miller had heart and vascular diseases .. and died due to a lack of oxygen. the north las vegas fire department says miller became ill in september after a massive fire at a shopping center... and marked his passing as a line of duty death. captain miller was a 22 year veteran of the department . and was credited with rescuing a toddler from a fire./// ((kirsten joyce)) according to the southern nevada homeless survey, there are more than 62-hundred people without homes on any given night.

17-hundred of those are children and youth. but this morning, local organizations are coming together to help connect the homeless with resources that could help them. now lets send things over to demetria for what's driving you crazy./// demetria, what's driving people crazy? demetria obilor a lot of you have asked me, "what's up with convention center drive?" last fall, the crews set up shop on convention center drive as part of a $6.1 million county p this project was scheduled to wrap up this past july, but that didn't happen. then it was supposed to wrap up some time in september or october, but that didn't happen either, so i reached out to the county to find out what's going on. the county's public works department says crews are almost done. they're working on manholes in the area. work should wrap up soon. what's driving you crazy? remember, you can write me at. traffic 8 at las vegas now dot com.

metro police say 35-year-old ati poni was the coach of the victim .. as well as a neighbor and family friend. documents state the girl's father said she was acting differently for several weeks .. and that's when she told him about the incident and he alerted police. poni now faces charges for sexual assault .. kidnapping .. and sexual conduct between a school employee and student./// ((kirsten joyce)) a pahrump woman is behind bars on bail ... awaiting extradition to houston .. where she faces charges for child endangerment. ((ia after investigators say she 34 year old trisha meyer let exotic animals roam her home, with a juvenile. animal control officers in pahrump were tipped off by a neighbor last week. they found 3 tigers in the backyard .. contained in a 4- foot field fence.. and 8 monkeys inside her home. the tigers have been taken into potective custody. ((kirsten joyce)) >> wisconsin prosecutors are now scrambling to appeal the order to free 27-year-old brendan dassey... they're also still deciding whether they will prosecute dassey again. hena daniels has the latest. 27 year old brendan dassey could soon be walking out of a federal prison after spending almost a decade behind bars... dassey was sentenced to life in prison for the 2005 murder of teresa halbach -- a case made famous by the 10 part netflix series making a murderer...
