crowd -- outside...catchin g a glimpse of social change. ==raj/topvo== in new york city, the top 'one world trade center' -- also awash in rainbow colors. this was by order of governor andrew coumo. ==janelle/chy== so here are the details of today's supreme court ruling. it was a narrow vote with justices approving same sex marriage by a five to four margin. ==chy== it forces the 14 states, that had not legalized gay marriage, to now recognize and allow same- sex unions. before today's decision.... california was among the many states that had already legalized it. ==chy== the u-s is now the 21st country to legalize same sex marriage. ==janelle/boxes== so much of this ruling is rooted in the bay area. and you can see the excitment on the streets. ==raj/boxes== nbc bay area's jean elle is in the castro district tonight. jean -- you've followed this story for more than 10 years...this is much mnore than a party there... ==raj/boxes== thanks jean

it's right now on social media. >> get ready for a boom on the wedding business. a lot of same-sex couples rushed to get married like these women, in georgia. until today, 14 states including georgia, did not allow same-sex marchage. tear hope is not to be condemned in liveliness. they asked for equal eyes in the law. if you're among the many americans of whatever sexual orientation who favor expanding same-sex marriage, by all means celebrate today's decision.
