to a developing story there was unspeakable violence shattering a community on the east coast. there are 10 people dead and three others hurt after a gunman opened fire in buffalo. an 18-year-old gunman dressed in tactical gear and opened fire on shoppers. he was streaming the attack on social media. the video was taken now moments after it started. he had to guns that appeared to have rachel's racial slurs on them. they are investigating the shooting is a hate crime. >> this was pure evil. straight up racially motivated hate crime from someone outside of our community and outside of this community coming in and trying to inflict evil upon us.

>> a shooting victim was released from the hospital late tonight. they've not released the identity of those who have been killed. the gunmen drove for several hours. he lives here in new york. you can see next to the pennsylvania border. he drove over three hours to buffalo. peyton jen ron is in court late today. investigators say posted a document online last night. they've not yet verified that he wrote this. he advocated violence and he remains in custody without bail. the president released a statement saying he the first light ready adr praying for those families. he said racially motivated hate crimes are important to the nation. hate must have no sleep are verbal we will stay on top of this tragic story as the investigation unfolds.

people were demonstrating for women reproductive rights. 400 protest take place nationwide. the rally started on the national mall and ended at the steps of the supreme court took justices could overturn roe v wade in an upcoming ruling. this comes days after the senate failed to pass the bill. the demonstration stretched for more than two city blocks. applying so much pressure to the supreme court that they cannot be a hard. that is done by showing up in person and in the numbers.

the 48-year-old man dead. this happened at el camino and hillsdale boulevard. police are asking anyone who drove in this area between 1:00 to 7:00 this morning to give them a call. there also encouraging those to review footage if they were in the area during the time. firefighters got the upper hand in san francisco earlier this evening. this happened in the area near kai dale. by the time they got there it was escalated to a second alarm fire. were able to knock it down in about one hour. most of the burning took place in an attic. no injuries but the investigation is still going on. highway 92 in kenyatta road. not too far from the reservoir. firefighters say they did not play too much of a factor in this. no word yet on the cause.

gas prices hit record highs today. today is the national average at $4.45 per gallon of regular gas. that is the highest price that we've ever seen in the u.s. a gallon of regular is averaging 593. and the prices in the bay area are much higher. nearly every county you can see here a gallon of regular averaging more than six dollars. economist say that prices are on the rise because the european union is tightening sanctions on russia. they are likely to increase through memorial day. returning to's emphasis go you're looking live at the city. a nice night for a race if you are in the mood. there are some serious athletes here with a 12 k run is an

mild air after the highs in the mid to upper 80s. places around the bay area are likely seen the mid to upper 70s. the seabreeze is coming back with an area of low clouds. you can see the misty skies toward san francisco and during the day tomorrow as you no doubt noticed they will be picking up once again during the afternoon hours. from the 60s to the low 70s and the inland areas tomorrow with 90s on the map. it is hard to find 80s on the map as well. mid 70s around livermore and low to mid 70s around san jose. the winds will be picking up 15 to 30 miles per hour heading into the afternoon. onshore for the morning bringing in low clouds. and during the afternoon we should see the wind speed 15 to 30 miles per hour as we approach the evening. cloud cover is very important for tomorrow. you will wake up around the inner bay as is typically the

case. what happens after sunset for tomorrow, is you want to look off to the eastern sky. a lunar eclipse will be peaking around 10:00 at night. patchy low clouds across the bay. now we are hoping for a net wind here to really break up this low cloud cover for the lunar eclipse. stay tuned. it is likely to be for the valley and hills tomorrow evening. no chances of rain in the forecast. we go to the end of the week and storm systems picking up the wind. also helping to boost the temperatures as we cool down a bit to wrap up the weekend going into monday. next weekend should see 70s.
